| Whoa... I can't be the only one thinking that the manga is better than how the anime is making it. I mean this chapter we got a panicked Satoru consciously USING his revival power to go back to save his mother, not the accidental going back with revival directly to 18 years ago. Also the fact where he realized that he was framed and all that makes it more exciting than where he met the killer at the stair. Not to mention that he actually want to KILL this guy for killing mom. |

| This was a lot better explained than in the anime. In the anime we didn't quite understand "why did he run from the police?", but here we got an explanation both to that AND to why he got back 18 years - because he willed himself to go back as far as he can. He meant to save his mother, but his ability took over that meaning and twisted it to the beginning of everything. |

| Wow, I was surprised while reading this volume, author really took his time with setting the backstory and characters, before sending Satoru back in time 18 years. In anime it all happened basically within just one episode, I knew it was rushed, but didn't know HOW MUCH, lol. I love the way MC's childhood backstory is told through Satoru's faded memories - it wasn't all established at once in rough exposition, but rather slowly introduced piece by piece. Which turned out to be way more intriguing and engaging! So far I love it, already can feel this is gonna be waaay different from the anime adaptation, I think I'm gonna enjoy this a lot! Not the biggest fan of this mangaka's artstyle, but it's not terrible, I just have to get used to it I guess. |
