| Ahhh nooo I got way too attached to the characters. ;___; I'm going to miss this. It wasn't that great in the first couple of episodes, but it got a lot better. I wish this had more episodes so it could develop it's characters more, because I was sad when they died, but not that much. It was just 'Aww, they died, okay'. If it had more episodes they could have developed their characters. Besides that, this was my type of show and I honestly loved it. 8/10 because of development and lack of episodes for it. |
| Nice ending :) I really liked the themes in this, it's just unfortunate that the whole plot wasn't executed as well as I thought it should've been. Seriously, Hibiki says some good stuff. The fight between Hibiki and Yamato was good, but not great, it just seemed kind of not that exciting for me, despite them combining all those demons. I smiled though when Yamato was said, "I have no friends" and then smirked. ;_; So sad about Alcor though...but I guess a septentrion has no place in that world. Hm time for me to get the game ^^ |

| It was a pretty enjoyable anime, sound and animation was lovely. However the story was too predictable. Definitely want to see more, rather sad that it's done :( 5/10 I guess, wouldn't mind something similar to that in the future. |

| That was what I expected when everyone died. Ofc he'll wish for a repeat and everyone will live hehe. Gotta admit the Lucifer fusion sequence was epic!! Airi looked so beautiful playing the piano and her blushing was Kawaii!! <3 At the end Yamato seems to remember everything as well :) Glad to see Alcor again ^^ |

| The first of the Spring shows I'm following has ended. Going in it had a lot going for it. A director with a mostly good track record, prolific voice actors, and an intriguing premise. However it would seem that my anticipation was sadly misplaced. As the show progressed, the elements failed to come together in that special way to produce the next hit for me Devil Survivor 2 has no qualms killing its characters which is a good thing for this type of show. In fact they kill everyone off except the main character(until the last episode). However I'm given no reason to care about these deaths and they don't really push the plot forward in a meaningful way. Character development was sparse save for Hibiki and even then it would be considered average at best. Perhaps they had to sacrifice it due to the shows length of a single cour to tell the story it wanted to tell(which is at least serviceable), who knows Hibiki as a protagonist isn't really all that interesting and is very by the books. Every character type you can think of has been done before so I'm not saying he was cliche because everything is technically cliche. It's the little tweaks that make certain ones rise from the rest and Hibiki disappointingly lacks those special traits. One of the positives I have to highlight are the anime's production values/presentation. The world and character designs are very easy on the eyes. I even liked the CG which was put to good use showing the world slowly fading away whenever the Septentrions wreaked havoc on the world. The soundtrack was very fitting to the tone of the show showcasing an eclectic mix of rock, synth, and choirs. I enjoyed the music of the show so much, Devil Survivor 2 has my vote for favorite Ending of the season. To sum up my thoughts succinctly Decent production values and premise but lackluster characters and writing 5 Red Byakkos out of 10 |

| Okay, i give this a 6/10. They never showed the battle against Polaris....since you were supposed to defeat him to change the world. And the Demon fusion now? How come they didn't do that at the beginning? Guess I should wait for Break Record for 3DS... I want to see Yamato's sister and the new 8th day. But overall, everyone is back alive. Shame that we didn't see Koharu's face(Otome's daughter) or Joe's girlfriend's face. The thing that sucks is that Ronaldo was killed so early, he was supposed to be one of the endings that was toward equality, and I guess they cut that out. And Alcor....that was unexpected even for me. The only thing I wished is if they followed the game's actual story, and this anime would be more longer and had at least a decent amount of episodes with the character development of the other characters who were killed off. I did had some problems that they didn't show much of character with some of the others, and changes they had to do. - Makoto Sako was in JP's for so long, she wouldn't known much about blending in for society, since she barges into other people's rooms without knocking, especially with opposite genders, but they didn't show that about her here. It implies with Hibiki when she barges into his room in the game. But as part of JP's, she doesn't do anything without orders, especially with people are attack by demons. - Yamato was more colder than he was in the game. Yamato also ate takoyaki with Hibiki....I wished they animated that scene. - Fumi had a very lack of development here, she was the kind of person who talks smart, using difficult words and gets mad if anyone doesn't understand her. And she also thrown so many laptops at the demon, Trumpeter, who refused to help her and the others. - Keita died so early that his development didn't even happen, so nothing to say here. Like he was acting in the anime, his personally is still the same with the rudeness. - Joe didn't meet and join Hibiki early, and he was really funny, more of the comedy relief. But in the anime adaptation overall. Lack of action as well, not much battles against rioters or app abusers. I like the characters, so I still give this a 6/10. Okay, back to me playing the game to see what actually happens! But I suspect they might make an OVA or Movie to introduce Yamato's sister, Miyako Hotsuin. |

| I'll give 8 for the art and 6.5 for the story. Not really shocking but decent for me. RESTORED ENDING CONFIRMED WOOHOOOooooOOO And lol that joke site. It was a great site with great layout until everything ends and.......... HIBIKI ALWAYS GETS A HUG But wow, Nitta doesnt ask Hibiki for a date. But nice back-up plan of Hibiki, calling Nitta and let them walk on their own. Everyone's being cute no? Jungo and Airi lksjhclkdhckdh YAMATO. DO YOU REMEMBER HIBIKI. I suppose he remembers anything everything along with Hibiki but he's just good at hiding it And the ending scene is full of ppl again ayeyeye WHY DOES HIBIKI CRY THIS ENDING YOU CHOSE YOURSELF AND YOU CRY come on dear And I think the ending would've been good if everything happened like in the game. AND OH THAT ALCOR ENDING |

That's why I thought that making the anime longer would give it more time to develop it's characters. That's the problem with one cour anime, they're too short. They can be amazing and develop characters really well if done properly (like AnoHana) but for shows like DeSu2 with too much plot they need more than 13 episodes. I think I'll probably change my score since I was really caught up at the moment. 7/10 |
