Chapter 9.5 is out . So this axed manga is explained. Finally a mangaka who explains his axed stories although a lack details but all is well. This manga had potential though.

This was a pretty cool manga. I especially like how the commentary of the people watching, the people in the ear-piece, was portrayed. The manga pretty much demonized the entire facetious attitude that people have when watching macabre stuff like that. "LOL HE DIED" and shit, portrayed as immature, terrible, and fucking cruel. That was one of my favorite aspects about the manga.

It made it feel like it was more than just an interesting story. Like it was actually a commentary on society and the attitude that people hold while being entertained. The selfish, childish, repulsive attitude that people have.

Too bad it was cut short. Hopefully it restarts sometime or something.

HUGE SPOILERS

The ending here is not the author's intended ending. The series was stopped abruptly because the sales were horrible.
-Actual Ending-
When Natsumi was younger he parents did not get along well. It was soon her birthday and she baked a cake with hopes to remend her parents relationship. However, her mother looked at her cake with disdain, knocked it onto the floor, turned her back and left.
-Years later (I'm supposing)-
Natsumi and Shouta's brother are acquaintances (I'm pretty sure she's in love/obsessed with him)
It was Natsumi's birthday again and she made a cake and invited Shouta's brother over. He was late, however, because it was the day Shouta got his soccer injury and needed surgery. Shouta's brother was at Natsumi's house explaining everything and as he turned to leave to check up on Shouta, he accidentally knocked over her cake. He apologized and turned to leave again. The cake on the floor and the turned back reminded Natsumi of her mother leaving and she grabbed onto him and locked him up in a closet. He wasn't allowed out, and hence his "mysterious disappearance". Time passed Shouta's brother only thought about Shouta and continued to beg Natsumi to allow him to see his brother. Natsumi then grew intensely jealous of Shouta and continues to keep his brother locked up. Soon Shouta'a brother collapsed and died. Natsumi takes all measures and tries to preserve his body. She slept with his decaying body for days and finally decided to swear revenge on Shouta from jealously. So she basically enters him into the game so she can torture him along with her innocent act. In the end Natsumi wasn't able to kill Shouta and instead he kills her.
I believe the part of Shouta's brother having a girlfriend is made up by Natsumi and that she never had a sister at all.
-Other characters-
Pretty much all the other characters dies too except Tsubaki and Suzuhara. They survive to the end and are supposedly "final bosses"
Miki is killed by Takahashi who actually secretly teamed up with Suzuhara and Usami.
Sasaki is tortured by Suzuhara and Usami and is killed by Miyoshi.
Miyoshi goes crazy from killing Sasaki and later died when her necklace activates because she killed in a no killing zone or something.
Miyoshi also kills Usami.

Had a lot of potential. Shame it got axed. The MC was a little too annoying however so I have mixed feelings about it.

i appreciate that the mangaka gave an explanation for the discontinuation, and described a little bit of what was going to happen.

This was a reallly great manga its too bad it didnt get enough sales. Still I like how w actually did get the ending explained and all. ah well woulda made a great series but twas not meant to be. I think I'll check out what else this Mangaka made see if maybe he made a "spiritual successor" of sorts to this series
