| I can't help but to smile like an idiot every time I see Kaiba in this show. He's so sassy XD. We finally get Elemental Hero Neos. Interesting how things will progress. I like how they're going with Judai siding with 'darkness' to fight the 'light'. |

| A lot of weirdness this episode, but it cemented Juudai keeps his inner child happy. Somehow, that aligns with fighting with darkness? That's the interesting part, especially in contrast to Ed, a champion of light. I'm wondering what else we'll learn about his childhood. His big imagination made these cute and fluffy imaginary friends, and now some of those monsters are cards. The alchemist thing was right. And without knowing, Kaiba just helped (shaped?) our hero lol The pink dolphin, the neo dolphin ... does this mean Juudai liked dolphins lmao that's so precious ;; |

| I was never fond of the Neo Spacians and this episode wasn't exactly the best way to introduce them. Mostly I think this whole episode jumped the shark by introducing extraterrestrial light rays and alien robots into the plot. What I loved about the original YGO is that it centered around ancient magic, but the GX writers were doing this weird sci-fi thing beginning in this season. It feels so unnecessary. |

I mean, half of that is just English dub nonsense; the whole purpose of sending the cards into space originally was so that they would harness the "universe's waves", not so that they'd be found by aliens. This is why I'm always stumped about why some people choose to watch the dub. It's notorious for making stuff up and just being inaccurate in general, plus it's more like a parody than a genuine dub anyways. |
