DRAW YOUR SWORD !!!! As indicated by earlier SoundScan data, "K" sold much more the Amazon Stalker figures. There are some who theorized that female consumers are more likely to buy at storefront. Of course we do not know if this applies (or how much it applies) to "K" but I've seen quite a bit of talk around that. Vol.1's figure of >5000 is pretty respectable. For vol.2 the ~3300 figure is not bad, but I wonder if this indicates a downward trend for sales (since vol.1 is cheaper but it has good extras), or perhaps some people do not want to spend so much money on one anime title? Nobuna and TariTari are stable, really stable. Evangelion is back in chart, obviously the recent airing of the earlier movie on TV had an impact. Ixion Saga DT OP/ED single was expected to sell well, BUT NOT THAT WELL. Estimate was about 10-15k. Bundling the OP and ED together of course helped sales a lot, but I guess that it was played by some up-and-coming young group known by mainstream pop music fans definitely helps. |

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

Where does that estimate of 10-15k come from? The first week sales of Golden Bomber's previous 3 singles were 40k, 38k and 51k. It was obvious that the Ixion OP/ED wouldn't sell as much as those, but I doubt the estimate would have been that low. |

I think the idea is by comparison to AKB0048 where the artists did not use its actual name as the artist name, the jacket/lyrics putting more stress on the anime, and the marketing not done as much in the usual music channels. Hence the estimation, which turned out to be over-cautious.Where does that estimate of 10-15k come from? The first week sales of Golden Bomber's previous 3 singles were 40k, 38k and 51k. It was obvious that the Ixion OP/ED wouldn't sell as much as those, but I doubt the estimate would have been that low. Also the CD comes out in 4 versions could also help boost sales. I wonder if previous singles by Golden Bomber have multiple versions too? |

SAO managed to do a 3rd week in sales. Nice. Well, not many came out in the corresponding week so that's why. It's still good. Did this tie or surpass IS's sales for the first volume? 2 volumes of K are out already? That's pretty early and weird. Both volumes did well I guess, the first more than the second. And lol, Ixion Saga OP and ED. Better grab both and listen to it. The ED is just lulz. |

Average sales will likely be around 3.5-4k. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the production committee was very much hoping for at least double that. Only people I've seen that think it won't live up to Stalker expectations is because it didn't have much hype pre airing, but it was an anime original so nobody knew what to expect from it. |

I know the first volume was discounted...I looked on amazon...the second one is more costly than the first. ¥ 6,300 is somewhat on the low end of normal for 2-episode BDs these days. The average MSRP of a one-cour late night TV anime LE BD in 2011-2012 (n=821) is ¥7,197 give or take. ¥7140 is most common. >70% of releases fall between ¥6300 and ¥7350 inclusive though, so ¥6300 is still in the normal range. Third most common price point overall, though a distant third behind ¥7350 and ¥7140 (combined they make up almost half). Really? I see. But its still in the normal range right? Though I didn't know about it being low end. |

Ah, I see. Yeah those are some pretty good reasons to expect an overestimation... I'm just hoping it'll do at least 10k. I feel that unless its being overrated at a Tari Tari kinda level, it should do that. |

I think K did not sell that much because both vol. 1 and 2 came out on the same day. If we added both the sales of vol 1 and 2 together that would probably be the amount if just vol 1 came out. Personally I don't like how K BD/DVDs came out so fast. They should of waited for the anime to finish. |
