I'm pretty sure Hisoka changed the message himself.
and
The music and Kurapika's expression after reading Hisoka's text was just badass!

Nice episode indeed, more action coming down with Gon and Killua too, looking forward to a battle between Hisoka and Nobunaga but i doubt it will happen.

yes, no added leopika xD
overall definitely liked the animation this episode, and when the ED music started playing I was thinking that was way too fast (i suppose the reading of the prophecies took up some more time than I thought it would've?)
gotta love Shizuku's casual "I'm gonna die" and the info on Meteor City was interesting (even though I've heard it before)

..and I died when Kurapika started smiling again (only for Hisoka to ruin it)

And just like the 99 they skip the Tramp Incident. :(

Hopefully though they're only postponing it since they were trying to get through a lot of chapters in this one episode.

A good episode.

Wonder why Hisoka changed the message to that, i mean if he was going to change it, wouldn't it be better if suspicion wasn't placed on him, well either way great episode as usual.

All I have to say is...never underestimate the world's greatest magician. ;)

Also...

I really enjoyed the reunion. It's nice to see Kurapika smile again if only for so long.

He changed it to make them think he was controlled by the chain user and did not betray them willingly.

Don't want to spoil it for you so I will just say that it's all part of his scheme. He purposely wants to be suspected in order to ultimately trick everyone in the Ryodan about his ties with Kurapika.

Doubt it. They cut quite a few pages in order to fit 4 chapters into 1 episode. Those who haven't read the manga will have to be satisfied with the general outlook of the Meteor City I guess.

Long running shounens are often on tight budgets, so cuts like that are to be expected.

Could someone please explain this to me:

Why were Gon, Leorio, Killua and Kurapika discussing them being in danger, when Kurapika had seen that the Spiders had been killed? I know they were fakes, but still. Please guys, I'm missing something here.

Not everyone's dead bodies were found. When Gon and everyone else said everyone was dead, I assume that's just a mistake in the script. If you pay close attention, Killue also talks about the woman who can read other's minds as ''one of the survivors''.

lol, Hisoka never disappoints!

Also, I agree with the latter. It appears some people fail to understand the difference between speculating and wanting to be spoiled.

I kind of wanted everything to stay happy and sunshine after the first part, it was so wonderful ;w; I loved Killua and Gon playing and Kurapika's smile was absolutely gorgeous! I approve, Madhouse. You have done well.

The last half was awesome, though I kind of hope they'll still include the rest of the prophecies because I love them. I like how they're all so apathetic even at the revelation that they'll die, especially Shizu.

Hisoka knows how to break the news XD I love his texts.

Great episode(as always). I never watched past the last episode of the 99 version, I didn't enjoy York Shin enough in the origional version to go onto the OVA's and as such I am now completely open to learning what's going to happen next. Although I do think it is kind of obvious that Hisoka used that ability from his fight in the battle tower arc that made his arm appear unwounded(can't remember it's name), it doesn't take a genious to remember that fact.
Despite that great cliffhanger, even if the preview for the next episode kind of spoils the fact nothings going to happen to Hisoka since we see him talking with Chrollo...Nobunaga however...

Well the whole first part of the episode was so awesome. Kurapika just smiling all huge and stuff after being all depressed at the hilarious antics of Killua/Gon. I had to rewatch that part as it was just so good seeing them all happy like throwing pies, too bad Gon never got one in. Should have made it longer. They do them so well animated. And for Gon and Killua the Hunterpedia was hilarious.

The rest of the episode wasnt as lighthearted funny, though because of it it made the ending revelations all that more powerful. Ultimately this wasnt what I had expected the reveal of the spiders still being there would be like. I thought Hisoka would have cut contact and the main crew under the belief that the leader is gone for good. Didnt think he would leak it out immediately. Like what even happened there, fortunes change when exchanged to other peoples hands? It didnt happen with the others, or at least in any noticeable way I think (though Chrollo never read his own or even Nobunaga, so maybe they do in fact change, he just wouldnt know? Hisoka should have kept it to his own but then that would be odd in the context of the troupe. Regardless, I hope he wont be outed.

Rather scared for the possibility of whom will die. I dont want Shalnark to die, he was my second favorite Troupe member (Feitan for favorite) whom, Feitan seemed to be spared or not mentioned in the fortunes revealed. So thats a bit of relief. But Shalnark, gah, hope he actually returns to Meteor City or what not.

No he did a prophecy for each one of them. He takes the name, birthdate and other info about the person and writes their prophecies just like Neon did with Chrollo. Feitan doesn't know when his Bday is :/

Man I just love Hisoka in this series so much. He is so unpredictable you have no idea what he plans to do or thinking. Just in the Phantom Troupe arc alone he's the Wild Card which could tip things toward Gon and friends, or the PT. I liked the beginning when Gon cheered up Kurapika but the transition from last episode was still a little iffy to me. If they showed Kurapika still sad for a couple seconds I think it could've gone smoother a little bit.

Nice. Hisoka changed the message with his Nen.
He faked it.

From the real prediction to Hisoka...

Even though he changed it, the Troupe figured out that Hisoka is the mole.
Ahahaha. I love his situation. This is getting crazy.

The park scene with Gon, Killua, and Kurapika was amazing; movie quality. The music has gotten a lot better. This was a very nice episode with great build for those to come. I think they made the right choice to cut out most of Ch. 102 the Meteor City explanation seemed a bit redundant in the manga. Overall, very good episode. I can't wait for the rest of the arc, great stuff.

This episode wasn't anything too exciting. No action at all. With that said, we can obviously tell that it's going to be very intense in the next episode or next few. I am really looking forward to what Hisoka's plan is, and what Kurapika and his friends will do to find and fight the Troupe.

I love how this arc has only increased in intensity from the moment it started. Definitely one of my favorite arcs in this series, especially since my other favorite parts are coming up soon!

This was a pretty good episode overall. The best part of this episode was the eating contest...Good lord, that animation! O__O So gorgeous and smooth and just so freaking adorable! Gon and Killua horsing around was adorable and Kurapika's reaction to their adorableness was just adorable! :3 (sorry, fangirl moment...) I thought Kurapika's reaction to the fake corpses was pretty intense. The fortune-telling segement was well-done too. I also liked the cliffhanger at the end, surprisingly enough, because of Nobunaga's reaction to Hisoka's fortune. Poor thing, to find out that your best friend died because he was sold out by someone in your group...(of course, Uvo's ego contributed to his own demise but still...) 'Twas a very epic moment for me. Gah, but Hisoka was pretty awesome here too. That sly dog...

My only complaints are that the reunion scene between the gang felt very hollow and that the music didn't match some scenes...

When they got back together, it didn't feel like they were apart for a long time AT ALL. I mean, I was expecting sappy string music to accompany the moment and that it would've lasted longer than it did but oh well...

On a random note, I wonder if they've made a third ost yet?
