| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ----------------------------------------  Hmm, a quick yet reactive dream that Aladdin had there in the beginning. He's such a cute kid though this episode. It's also nice to see Hakuen Ren as well. She looks pretty and has a cool, collected voice imo. Nice action and OST. That main Magi OST is pretty damn catchy during the night fighting scene. I can't wait for the official soundtracks to debut soon tbh. |

| The episode was really fast paced but still enjoyable. They did a great job depicting Baba. Hakuei Ren makes her debut in this, great VA choice. Man, this part is just heartbreaking with Aladdin waiting for Baba to return....:( Elizabeth was in this episode and Aladdin LOL And some news, it is an anime spoiler not a manga sooo... This hasn't even happened in the manga yet so definitely looking forward to next week. |

| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| Loved the rescue scene and the ost was awesome there :D Good to see Hakuei finally, and Mizuki Nana's voice fits her perfectly ^_^ |

| Ah I could see that ending coming, sad that it did, I was really hoping something like that wouldn't happen, especially after saying ''I must Live on'' >< Well at least it means that next episode should have a lot of action. ^^ |
| Sigh...the manga hardcore fans will continue to complain, i can see the flames coming already... People should learn one simple concept, since it applies to all adaptions, things get summarized, even the best of adaptions, i would rather have this fast paced summary of main points then have a dragged out Shounen like the Big 3, besides why don't you seriously ask yourself what was left out that was truly essential |

This pacing is just fine, people are nitpicking thats all this is. Do you honestly want a dragged out Kouga arc? You say it like they skipped what composes the Kouga arc, and the funniest thing about all of this is that you likely didn't even remember every single detail they skipped without looking back, you likely said "they skipped stuff" then looked back to see what they skipped, that shows that it wasn't even that important otherwise you would have remembered it right away, or are you going to say that people remember every last detail of things, they don't do they, thus why can't said forgettable details be skipped for the sake of getting to the better arcs in Balbadd. |

| I did think that Magi has been a bit rushed. As a manga reader, I spent at least fifteen weeks getting to this of point of the plot, compared to the four weeks it has taken the anime too. Although the Kouga arc was one for my least favourite, so if this arc is being rushed to make more room for the next arc I don't mind much. If anything the Sword Art Online adaptation has been a lot worse than Magi has been. |

| I can't say that I'm reading the manga, but I thought it was the overall solid episode. They anime did move a bit fast throughout the episode, but it never felt rushed or contrived. So far they're doing a great job with the material. I saw the arrow coming from at least a mile off, but the scene was still rather shocking, especially since Baba was such likable character. It'll be interesting to see the Kou and Kouga go to war over this. |

| I read both the manga and watch the anime. I don't mind it being 4 episodes only for 20 something chapters. The past few episodes were animated pretty great, even though they had some minor changes. This episode was pretty good too. I felt so emotional about how Baba said Aladdin is part of her family and who he is. It's sad to know that |

| I was bored with this episode, only a little. But it's not stopping me from watching the rest of the anime, since Magi is one of my favourite manga. Also, what was wrong with the picture of Hakuei? My guess is that the skin tones seemed different? I'm not too sure. |

In the scene with Aladdin talking with Hakuei same kind of thing happened Oh and also, I don't really think the anime is being fast paced at all, it is really quite similar to the manga right now (and I HAVE read the manga). And plus, the changes they made were quite nice, like the fire in the dungeons instead of the spikes. |

| Personally, I thought this was the best episode so far. But that's only because I'm not a fan of fast pacing, and compared to the first three episodes I felt this one slowed it down a bit. This show has turned into one of my favourites of the season, and I'll be sure to pick up the manga some day. |

Or at least that's what I think the problem is. Correct - how the robe is folded changes from cut to cut even it is the same scene. (compare the top left with the bottom left pic; and compare the top right with the bottom right pic) Some fans can really tell when sakuga/animation gets problematic... BTW... Just wonder: if there any reason that only Aladdin got to such a faraway place while Alibaba and Morgiana landed back near where the dungeon was? Is it ever explained in the manga? |
