THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- While the story is significantly different in hindsight, this reminded me of a picture book called Corduroy. Definitely not a bad thing, but perhaps because I subconsciously compared the two, I felt this lacked something that I can't yet pinpoint. That aside, it was a nice short animation, complemented by a relaxing soundtrack and some beautiful scenery around the world. On a side note, I felt they should have kept the characters silent throughout. As the only spoken dialogue in the entire animation, the final words lacked any sort of lasting impact, and thus could have done without. Not significant to the overall presentation, which I liked as a whole. |

I was teary eyed for atleast half of that. I blame the music. I really loved that. Short and sweet. I agree that the dialogue wasn't really needed, but it was alright. Though I was smiling the whole time I was teary. XD |

Went in expecting another typical, voiceless, music-laden animator's project. Got just that. Didn't expect that ending though (the big shop sign) which I felt redeemed the work entirely. The setup could make a fine OVA given proper dialogue and 30 minutes time. |

Uwaa~ animation and music were stunning! My jaw literally dropped sometimes, with the amazing mixing of styles in the music and the gorgeous scenery. :) The story was super sweet too. I remember losing one of my stuffed animals as a little kid, I was soo sad. :( Great little thing to make you smile! <3 |

Aww that was nice. It sure took awhile but he made it back to her after so many years and she made him a little Daru too. ^.^ I admit it tugged my heartstrings a bit. I found the caterpillar-turned-butterfly was a little selfish and ungrateful though, after all they've been through and the way Daru stuck with him even when he was undergoing chrysalis, he just left after he re-emerged as a butterfly. Boo to the butterfly! XP Some of the panoramic visuals were amazing especially the dark skies with stars, it reminded of Makoto Shinkai's works. |

La historia es una escusa, para mostrar lindas animaciones de diferentes países. El viaje se a hace bastante agradable con la música. Hay que destacar "el objetivo ojo de pez" que aplicaba en ciertas oportunidades. |

At the end, now he/she has a baby Daru to look after. Nice short, no need to be subbed since the dialogue was in English at the end. I kind of thought the Daru had died at the end but it was good seeing it "alive" after the credits. I enjoyed this short and I'm gonna give it a 8/10. |

That Daru is one dedicated plushie for traveling so much distance and all over the world in years, just to see her again. Just when he was giving up, he got picked up by her son what luck! She even named the store by him to show that she was thinking of him all this time. The mini Daru was also funny in the end. Such heartwarming mini movie and Daru was such a sweetie. |
