| I was loving DBZ when I was 5 so you never know... :P I'm 18 and seriously started watching anime last August and got hooked (even skipped a bit of Sixth form because of it :S), I find it really entertaining and I'd rather watch anime than most TV shows anyway. |

| I'm 28 this year. I've probably been watching anime for over two decades now though have only been a serious anime fan for a little shy of 15 years. I clearly remember when I first got into anime. My Dad had brought home some 'cartoons' on VHS that he thought me and my brothers would like. It was Patlabor. But what really really hooked me was Shadow Skill OVA back when Manga Entertainment had the license(don't know if they still do). I still remember when Escaflowne had that brief airing on fox(I think). My little brother and I were really into it but it got canceled after about 5 episodes because the ratings were awful. From there I went onto Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll and I haven't stopped since. I watch anime for the same reason that I watch TV and movies, read books and play games, because it entertains me, pure and simple. |

| My age..doesn't matter. Not that I'm embarrassed by it or anything. I'm just hiding it on purpose for the sake of anonymity and mysteriousness..maybe. ANYWAY I agree with OP that age doesn't matter when you watch anime. I'll probably still be watching even when I turn 83. At least I hope so... Uhm.. I watch anime because I like doing it? And I like the anime that I'm watching? I'm just really lazy to answer this seriously, sorry... | I'm 15 I watch because I've always enjoyed anime since I was about 7 watching Naruto and Dragonball on t.v. I guess the reason why I enjoy watching is because I feel anime really reaches out towards me and I feel a lot closer towards characters unlike other t.v shows, also there is so much variety and are all accessible online for free |
