| This has been hinted at for the last month, stronger and stronger in each chapter since Ch. 172, so it's not too surprising. It had a fantastic run though, so we can all be happy it ended without dragging itself into mediocrity. |

| Meh. It started off great, but the quality kept declining as the authors pulled trick after trick to prolong the central "conflict", while going off on tired side-stories that didn't matter to the main plot, and constantly using cliffhangers a blind man could see coming from a mile away to make the story seem more exciting. How many chapters ended with Takagi on the phone with their editor and some "unforeseen" (to the characters) information was revealed, ending the chapter with a huge "GASP! How will we counter this?!" only for it to be revealed to be a storm in a water glass. No, the main (and only real reason) to read this fairly average slice of life/drama is for the great look into the whole manga business, a must for anybody interested in the inner workings of Weekly Shonen Jump and how a manga is created. |

| If you already read chapter 175, you will know that there's nothing much left but to wrap up the series properly so it's not a surprise. The manga has been an entertaining read. |

| Wow, this is pretty sudden. I've been wondering lately if it was near completion, and alas I got my wish. Pretty happy for this, since now I can look forward to picking up the three anime seasons. Bakuman always kinda interested me. |

| I thought that the manga would continue while exploring issues like the ones mentioned by notsureifsrs, which would have been a good way to keep it going as an interesting slice of life imo. Anyway, I will greatly miss it. |

| I am glad it is ending. It has been a great series, but I am really looking forward to seeing what they come up with next. I have been reading Death Note and so I love it too. I have full faith their next manga will be successful.  |

| I've been expecting it to end sometime this year, definitely closer to chapter 180 versus around December (whatever chapter that would have been), but chapter 175 made it apparent that without stretching out the story further there was little else remaining but the spoiler people have mentioned. Here's to hoping that the third season of the anime runs long enough to cover the entire rest of the manga. There's got to be enough material for a good 39-50 episodes. |

| One of the first manga I started reading. I think it was around chapter 40 or 50 back then. Even after 2 years and 100 chapters, it still is a good read. The last few chapters have been between the best chapters I ever read. Thank you for the wonderful roller-coaster Bakuman was! (I wish I could say this to the authors, lol) |

| Yeah it felt like it was leading up to an end these past few chapters. Sad to see it go but enjoyed it anyway. And i hope the next manga they do will be just as good (if not better) than previous work. :) |
