AFAIK at least in case of Hayate they didn't loose - like 7000 of sold DVD and BD plus those DVD sold with manga - and that would be like 65 000 I cannot find how much they've earned in cinemas :/ but TWGOK was a failure - not as series but that they decided on second season (was it they listened to fans... deadly mistake) |

| I watched this because Nakai Kazuya was in it. Waited for his character til the end of the first part and it turns out he's just a salesman voice? Really? The captions are as awful as everyone else has said. The animation is nice though and I feel sorry for the main character but I don't know if I'll watch the rest. Too disappointed already. |
