But this is the same country where almost every subsequent transformers series after the original had a protagonist other than Optimus Prime so who cares what they think regarding what will do well in the west. This bleach movie is just a bad idea altogether. Wouldn't matter if it was the most popular manga in japan (One Piece) making a US live action is just a joke. Like others said they have had Akira for years now and nothing has come out it. Also who can't help but remember the supposed live action for NGE. |

| Bleach is crap anyway. Hollwood can do only so much to make it worse. And there is a good chance that this movie will never see the light of day like the many other planned anime adaptations. |

| I hope that if it's going to be crap it will at least be funny. The Dragonball movie was entertaining because I couldn't stop laughing at how bad it was. That's at least better than being both bad and boring... right? |

| I'm not even hoping it will be "good" good, because realistically they can't do it justice due to meddling executives with a cynical view of what Americans like driven by concerns over the almighty dollar. At this point I'm wishing for anime adaptations by Hollywood to be the "so bad it's good" kind of good. |

| Man why just why, if you are going to make an anime into a live action movie at least choose something which would be good as a live action such as gundams. I mean the make the gundam all they would have to do is alter the designs of the transformers plus with the great story the gundam franchise has it would be the perfect anime to make into a live action. |
