Overall good series, ending was a bit rushed though, probably a really cheap ending for people like me who never saw any difference in genders (as did many cultures before "democracy" was formed).
I was hoping for incest end... I still don't like Kamiyama :(
It was a nice ending in its own way, but I just cant help but want more from the ending... I think the author could've develop the story more with more chapters, but oh well..
Like almost everyone else said, the ending was a bit lackluster. I liked the slow pace that we were getting in the development of the two relationships (Kaya x Kou and Tsukiko x Kamiyama), and would have have liked to see a more solid conclusion to that. Truthfully, the last 2-3 chapters felt very rushed and I would have liked to see even an additional volume.
At first, the humour of the manga and particularly Kou's character somehow didn't sit well with me. The alien/futuristic setting seemed more of an excuse so the mangaka could draw whatever crazy things came to mind and use them as comedic elements. (Reminds me of this page.) Characters like Namisa where terribly annoying and all of the adults in this manga, the commander aside, were quite messed up... After a while though, Kou really grew on me and many of the other characters did as well. The introduction of Mariri was great, for example, and the fleshing out of Kamiyama's character. I also enjoyed a lot of the humour displayed between the main characters that had less to do with the crazy drawings.
All in all, by the end I quite enjoyed it, and the manga was a pleasant - and somewhat unique - ride. 7/10
I think the author ran out of ideas quickly with what to do with the story. But yeah, very rushed ending and I think it did have a fun start though. It's too bad it couldn't keep up with the momentum all the way.
5/10. This series would of worked a lot better if it had more chapters, preferably in the 40-50 range.
