| a really nice episode, and now, don't know why, i think mishima is my fav character. Don't know why, but just like him more than the other dude (but i don't hate him too!!) still don't like the OP as much, might like it the more episodes go by but its just.... OK :/ the ED is good though IMO. HAven't seen the preview, but i've got a feeling somethings gonna happen to chihaya's family (internal strife maybe?? :S) tsubasalover said: It's nice that the guy who was mean to megane guy became nice to him afterwards. | This was the most sentimental episode in a long time in anime history !! Although I don't appreciate long lasting episode memories and childhood arcs ...this one really impressed me <3 I'm so gonna wait for the development between the characters <3 One of my favorites of the fall season <3 |

| I was holding my breath the entire time hoping the animators would blow through all that stuff in the manga and end the episode where I wanted them to and they did. I'm so happy and proud that they kept the momentum going. They realize that that Kurata game isn't very interesting so they are focusing on the characters. Those of you who are waiting for them to grow up, have another episode or possibly two left to go before then, if they stick to the manga. I'm in no hurry since I'm enjoying this show so much. :-) Side note: Chihaya's family sucks! I would hate to be overshadowed by my sister constantly and Taichi's mother is a b****. 5/5 I'm still a Wataya fan! |

| I bitterly cried NOOOOOO! when the end credits came on. That is what this show is doing to me. This episode had me yelling at the screen for Chihaya furu ahhhhh! I love this show. Next week better come quickly. |

| When someone finds something they really love and its shown in a terrific fashion. Its something I look for and happily praise in animes. When Chihiya found Karuta, it made this anime stand out from the rest. I hope it continues to be great. And this kinda reminds me of Hanasaku Iroha and Screw people who say it somehow ended bad, it was a great anime from start to finish. |

| Well, the one that voice actor for Chihaya actually do some good job, love her voice. I believe this will be the end of childhood arc, better to keep that short and focus on the story. I haven't read the manga yet so don't know how it is but probably will pick up after how good this episode was. Karuta sure is lame and that will not be possible to be world master of it since the game is not popular around the world, everything is on kanji anyway lol. But find such a passion of that game is nice, it's like getting obessed with other games like Chess, Shoujo, Igo or Mahjong. I found these type of games much more interesting thought. Games like those I said you can be a world master. The anime sure looks great, looking forward to see more of it. 7/10 |

| I love Wataya. :) Taichi's a jerk. A little better in the end, but still a jerk. And, Chihaya's sister is a jerk. :I I have never been so excited watching a card game. <3 |
| quite a long prologue. this show kind of reminds me of Saki or shion no ou. it has the same kind of dynamics and atmosphere even if the stories are different. wataya was just a kid lashing out...clearly he has some parental issues. this show is not actually bad. |

Just from this episode, we can see why Taichi acts the way he does. "We can't show this to your father because you lost. Stick to things you are good at." Wtf was that all about? After being pushed around enough, Taichi shows that he does have a good side, and I believe this will start to show more and more. |

| Wonderful episode and probably one of the picks of the season. Mashima was real mean there. But since he is in grade school, I can let it pass, because he just acted on impulse. But that 'Coward' card hit him hard, right on the forehead :D I felt bad for Wataya. Also, did anyone notice Chihaya's 'talent'. Apparently she has a very sharp hearing ability, which is a requirement to be a good Kurata player. She might as well become a 'Queen' someday. I am so happy for the anime to have 25 episodes. If they just keep up what they are doing with it right now, I can literally watch 50 episodes in a go. Unlike some of you guys here though, I am enjoying the flashback episodes a lot. 5/5 for back to back episodes. And I am keeping it at 9/10 overall, which I gave the anime after episode 1. :) |

| It is unfortunate I may have to drop this. The anime didn't do anything really wrong, it is just, being based on what it appears very young school children, playing a card game - it isn't really piquing my interest. |

| This episode is very nice, as was the first episode. Everything's rendered beautifully by Madhouse and the characters in josei style look great. Oh, the OP and the ED sound great, as well as fitting the anime nicely. |

| Loved every second. It surely gives a Hanasaku iroha/Kimi ni todoke feeling. Actually i do like this more~~ The VA´s are doing a great job, next episode i expect to see grown up Arata [voiced by the sexiest voice ever, of Yoshimasa Hosoya ♥♥♥]. Definitely one of the best anime of the season! |

| I really am loving this anime so far. I could easily see this becoming my favorite anime of the year if it wasn't for Madoka (and possibly Fate/Zero). I hope Chihaya ends up with Wataya if she's going to end up with anyone. They've been really cute in these episodes. |
