Sukitte Ii na yo, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Shinsekai yori are the only worthwhile anime, as of now, for me. Code Breaker, K, Chuunibyou and Little Busters, I dropped already.
And, yo, I pretty much picked on whatever I'm going to watch off this season. I've precisely picked up 14 anime series off this fall; namely, Bakuman 3, BTOOOM, Chuunibyou, Code:Breaker, Jormungand 2, K, Magi, Psycho-Pass, Robotics;Notes, Sakurasou no Pet, Shinsekai Yori, Sukitte Ii na yo, Tonari and Zetsuen no Tempest. I'll try giving a shot to Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. I picked up Little Busters, too, but was forced to drop it. It was boring as shit.
Amongst the 14, I am looking forward to Psycho-Pass, Bakuman 3 and Sukitte Ii na yo. Psycho-Pass is just another Ghost in the Shell; at least it pretends to be as of now, so it'll probably be a nice watch. Urobuchi's amongst the staff so I'll not drop it. Bakuman 3 is slow yet consistent, just like its prequels. Sukitte Ii na yo is another dramatic high-school romance for you, but somehow seems pretty goddamn interesting. BTOOOM is another game-thriller-crap. It's watchable, though. Chuunibyou, Sakurasou no Pet and Tonari are your typical rom-coms with a little bit of twist. Code:Breaker is stupid. I'm not even sure if I'd continue to watch it. Jormungand 2 is, as usual, entertaining as hell. K is virtual cocaine. Yep, I agree it's got insane visuals but everything else is pathetic. Magi is kiddish in a way but looks promising. Robotics;Notes is a disgrace. Shinsekai Yori is intriguing. And, finally, Zetsuen no Tempest is your typical Guilty Crown.
What about you?
I haven't checked out the new shows as of now but have definitely added a lot of them in my PTW list. I guess I'll try watching them when each and every one of the season's anime starts airing, i.e. by around October 12. I currently have fourteen anime series in my PTW list of this season--Btoom, Code:Breaker, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai, K, Jormungand 2, Litchi DE Hikari Club, Magi, Little Busters, Psycho-Pass, Robotics;Notes, Shinsekai yori, Zetsuen no Tempest, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Sukitte Iinayo. Thanks for your opinion on the currently airing ones, I highly appreciate that. Any other you're looking forward to this season that hasn't already aired, from that list of mine perchance?
If you love Dolores's voice also, then I'm quite sure you'd like her stand-alone songs as well. Yes, she has released two albums as of yet from her stand-alone career as a singer ever since the band disbanded or something. They're practically all pop but are nothing of the stereotypical sort. Do look out for her tracks, Ordinary Day and When we were Young; they're her best. If you need any more suggestions on the musical side, feel free to ask me. I've been listening to a lot... and yes, I mean a LOT!
On the contrary, I just stumbled upon your score to the anime, One Outs, that I've just started watching. I see you've given it a pretty average score. There any particular reason for that, or is it just that you thought of it as mere 'average'? I've started to take a liking to it, just so you know. It reminds me of Kaiji, the franchise I love.
You into any other genre than rock, perchance?
EDIT: Do check out Motoko's new profile layout. I just stumbled upon it myself.
You really think so? I thought my style was too similar to that of Motoko. I can't argue, though, as I did take most of my inspiration from her sigs/banners. I guess I'll try barging in one or another competition as I seem to recall making some more banners in those days... I just hope the PSD files are safe and sound.
Speaking of (ur)Batman, did you happen to visit the site he frequents at by the name of Animerender? I must say it's pretty charming site, at least for us graphic artists and mostly for the likes of you, so passionate about it. You need a certain post count to download all of their renders; I guess I had the sufficient amount; if you need you can use my ID and password. Let me know if you need them.
Manga, huh? I've been trying to finish the shit I started but just can't seem to. I don't know, I feel more sleepy reading some bunch of papers with black-n-white graphics printed on them than watching some episodes of some random anime. Mind recommending some worthy titles to get me hooked again. I have Monster, Pluto, Planetes, Akumetsu, 20th Century Boys and Elfen Lied in my possession as of now.
Damn, do I miss Photoshop or what?! It's been ages since I've touched that thing. Now that my laptop's back, I think I'll try and work out something. How're GFX competitions going at CW and other places you frequent at, by the way? I've been missing the heat from CW forums for quite some time now ... Hell, what happened there, anyway? Finally dead, huh.
Soldier, in my opinion, was the most well-minded and thoughtful character in the show. Actually, even though I'd want Soldier's arc more than anything along with his past instances, it's not the hang-up I hated most in the show. Speaking of which, I checked out some info on the franchise here and there.... I got to know that it's actually licensed by FUNimation and is on a roaster for streaming on their site in subs. I guess the place you live in comes within the allocated area. Also, the manga I was thinking of reading to continue with the story is actually finished but has not been translated completely. It's been translated up to Baremoto's arc only, up till now; till volume 9, I guess.
It's more than decent.
Later.
Finished it and I've got to say I'm impressed. I mean, come one, how can one not like it if it's got an opening this intense?! The first four episodes were the best, in my opinion, and were the best laid-out foundation as of yet.
"Manly tears" is one tag totally made for RAINBOW. Hell, a dude like me had his dose of sore eyes at times! The concept was downright brilliant, I have to say, and pretty much didn't suffer much through out the series. Although, I have to agree the ending was quite hurried-up; not to mention, they didn't include Soldier's arc. At any rate, like they pointed out at the end of the last episode, to check out what happens to the characters' lives, I will check out the manga soon. Casting aside all the inconsistencies and anomalies, even if it's a bit biased, I'll still include it within my top favorites and will tag it 9/10. Dubbed, you say? I'd actually not want to watch it dubbed but in order for it to be known to the outside world more, it does require to be licensed. I'm actually hoping to see it, along with Legend of the Galactic Heroes, getting licensed in my lifetime.
Yes, Nodame's quite good. Depends on people, though, I have to point out. Also, the first season's the best; later, as the consecutive seasons line up, it does loose its touch. Paris chapter's the weakest. Anyhow, you'd get to see some real nice comedy immersed within seriousness in the anime. The characters, Nodame and Shinichi, are quite intriguing as well.
She also made me a set of banners and such.
How ever, I did put off on creating my Anime Archive for a little bit.
But I am going to create it soon though as I've got my settings nailed in for my encodes now. And my Anime Archive will house - everything basically. All news, updates, and everything in between. So it's going to be awesome!!!!!
Anyways, glad to hear from you. Keepin' it real!!
And yea, Sword Art Online, Hagure Yuusha no Estetica, Campione!, and my favorite, Oda Nobuna No Yabou!!!!!! Super awesome!!
Well, hope all is well with you and talk to you laters. Ciao!
