| Novel author Akamatsu Chugaku posted in his twitter that the realization of the second season of Hidan no Aria depended on the Blu-ray and DVD sales. He said the producers have been checking the sales closely but the current sales were far below the required amount. | Not surprising, Hidan no Aria is simply a bad anime. And Denpa turned out to be mediocre after a good start. |

| Aria was the biggest disappointment of the Spring season by far. I'm glad the sales are poor for this show, maybe JC Staff will stop butchering light novels and try something new and possibly succeed at it. |

| I prefer Denpa to get second season. Don't like Aria much. But still. Deciding about second season is a mystery. Mainly about 4K per volume is enough but siome shows got it with less sales while some ither still didn't get it with sales abot 6-10K per volume |

| I wouldn't mind more seasons of them both tbh. What is the required amount? I'm a little confused, why are they selling one episode for dvd's/BD? Is that like a Japan thing or something? Do they seriously think it will sell more then two episodes pack in or three? Part of me thinks they set themselves for fail intentionally. |

| i prefer denpa anyways, it was a far more interesting anime. although it seems to be slightly misleading, but interesting none the less. what i find to be sad is that sales are everything now. understandably, but some really good anime may never get second seasons simply because of bad sales. and in the coming years you will probably see less and less sales. especially now with the recession i am not sure that even the more hardcore anime lovers have that much cash going around. |

Aria is being too expensive with each episode. Hidan no Aria was a mediocre anime at best, but I'm definitely not surprised there are not enough sales for Aria to make a second season. | Lol, fail. Why am I not surprised? Hidan no Aria sucked so bad a certain fansub group gave it troll subs for half the season (which was hilariously justified). I never watched that Denpa Onna one, though, but from what I have seen on this forum it didn't do too well either. |

| I am laughing, for several reasons. One, I find the idea of selling a single episode on DVD/Blu-Ray for that price to be absolutely ridiculous. Two, Hidan no Aria is terrible. I am finishing it to the end despite its suckage, but only because I'm a completionist and hate dropping titles. Three, while I am not sure Denpa Onna needs a second season, I'm amused that it's getting consideration for it over Hidan no Aria. Wasn't HnA one of the highest anticipated series for this season? Hah. |
| It tells you one thing Rie tsundere=bad sales Lets see Dragon Crisis (Flopped in Sales selling only 580 in it's first volume) Astarotte no Omocha (Did terribly in sales and this was the better series) Hidan no Aria (Didn't make enough for S2, so close though) Idolm@ster will be the exception, since the fanbase is insane in Japan, I'm planning on getting it myself and it hasn't even been out yet. |

Neither of the shows have super large fanbases and weren't build to be runaway hits (Madoka). |

No, Aria is completely, perfectly in line with Japanese anime BD/DVD market standard practices. You should all put a little effort into understanding what is normal for a market before making claims like I'm seeing here. Certainly Japanese anime home video is "expensive" in a general, overall sense (I should know, I buy them) but there is actually nothing unusual at all about what Aria charged for a one-episode volume one. HnA's 1 ep per volume BD deal makes me not want to buy it at all, all that was saying I want Denpa Onna over this and I should stick with it, oh and Dog Days has 3 eps in it's volumes except the 5th way better than HnA. |
