Welcome to the ninth Tsundere or Not! This is a series of interactive threads where all club members are invited to evaluate our favorite tsundere characters. In every thread, you decide the character's level of tsundere-ness and give them a score in the poll rating meter. In scale of 1 to 5, rate them according to what you’ve learned in the anime, manga, novel, etc.

Prior to voting please understand the meaning of tsundere. As you know, the term became broader over time and used more arbitrarily by fans on the internet. There are various qualities and characteristics that define a character to be recognized as tsundere, and some of those are listed in this thread. The simple definition of tsundere is available on our club page but you can read further at the Wikipedia entry.

If you don't recognize the character presented, do say so or simply skip the thread. Hopefully you might recognize her better someday and check back on this poll. Just click on the "View Results” link if you want to see the result without voting.

Check out the current standing results in the previous Tsundere or Not threads:

Hina is awesome, best supporting character in the Hayate anime. But she's not much of a tsundere, even though there were a few scenes with her and Hayate that could imply that. A 2 for me.

Katsura is neither tsutsun nor deredere enough to be a tsundere.

I guess you have to read the manga to detect her tsundere traits. Nevertheless, it's a 4, imo.

really wanted to give her a 5, just for being a total badass, but she is currently a 4. This score can go either up or down depending on how the manga continues

Sure Hinagiku is a supporting character in Hayate no Gotoku! but whenever she appears she shows a sufficient amount of her tsundere personality. Combative and has slowly developing feelings for Hayate, but cannot express them. In my books she's a tsundere... 4 ^_^

As much as i love Hina. I have to give a 4. She doesn't really go Tsun-tsun side much, that is of course as far as the anime has gone.

I would say 4, really close to 5 but it was so late in the series when they did it.

Episode 48.

This one is more debatable, think it's a 3, even after reading the manga ;) Her behaviour still pales in comparison to absolute tsunderes like Shana or Louise

But I think her behaviour toward Hayate makes her tsundere... :)

Definitely a tsundere, and a rare one too

Most tsundere's lean somewhat more to the "tsun" side
Hinagiku leans somewhat more to the "dere" side

Basically.
I don't see her as a 5, not even close. That's Nagi for you and compared to Hina, no. She's a 3 in my opinion.

They are both tsunderes to the max, they just display different aspects of tsuntsun. While Nagi is the violent and typical Rie Kugimiya tsundere, Hinagiku displays much more of the aloof side of the tsuntsun trait. Still, they are both very much 5's in my book.

Doesn't displaying the aloof side make you more of a kuudere?

Hmm you know its really hard to say. Season one I would've said a 2 or 3, but Season 2 is making EVERYONE more cutesy patootsey, so shes probly up to a 3 or 4 now. Overall judging on her personality, I would say a 3. She flits back and forth between really tsundere and really...not. Tough one.

H I N A G I U KU !

Best supporting characther ever. Tsundere? Hmmm, that's debatable; sadly tsundere isn't really a "fixed" category. There's many trait that could define a tsundere and Hina has quite a few of those.

Just reminded me of Hayate no Gotoku!, I'll have to rewatch it for the third time :)

3-4-5 something along there.

I'd say a 4, she definetly has a few moments that make her out to be a tsundere but I don't really see it all coming together, not enough tsuntsun to be a prime example.

i would say 4 because she's balanced on tsun tsun and dere dere , though it was mostly tsun tsun on the first episodes but huge changes happens on the series ^_^ so i guess

4/5 she possess the traits but not always giving the impression.

and i agree with Hannarin i LOVED her deredere personality ^___^
