| Bartender This was a wonderful series to watch. I don't think it gets the attention it deserves mainly because it's for an older audience. Personally, having just recently turned 21 myself, I found it to be a very informative show. It didn't have a real plot, but was rather a collection of stories. Each episode would feature 1 type of cocktail as well as go into the history of some of the "spirits" they introduced. Not to mention at the end of every episode they include the recipe for the drink they had in the show! Bartender not only had great story telling, it also taught me a new way to appreciate alcohol. Oh and sidenote the OST was great, perfect for the setting. |

| The Wings of Honneamise, first anime produced by Gainax. A simple story about spatial conquest with some political devices, and an excellent animation for its age with a quirky yet immersive setting. And for once there was (almost) no fanservice in anime done by Gainax. |

| Zipang and FLAG, I'd say. Zipang is like another hollywood war movie. It is quite detailed and realistic, given it's an anime. FLAG is an entirely different watch from other animes, albeit slow-paced and technically detailed at times. Perhaps the reason they don't get much attention would be they are not aimed for the majority of anime fandom. |

| I'd say Legend of the Galactic Heroes however that already gets a lot of attention so I am going to say Texhnolyze. Texhnolyze is truly a masterpeice while being extremely underrated. If you like a SEL/Ergo Proxy style series, watch this. |

| I think Angelic Layer is the kind of anime for younger people that deserves far more attention from anime fans and non-anime fans if you compare it to the success of Pokemon and Yu-Gi_Oh. But it is also a show that adults can easily enjoy too. |

| For me I'd have to say it's Nagasarete Airantou. Barely anyone outside the circle who read the manga seem to even be aware of it's existence even though it has an awesome premise for its genre and a good cast. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a good comedy anime as it seems so underappreciated. |

| Aria the Origination More people need to watch the Aria series. I agree the first two seasons were somewhat boring calm but it really pays off since if you saw those two seasons then all the characters, mood, and shits will all get to you. You'll really be suprised since calmness is the theme in the first two seasons but then it changes drastically in the third season. You won't get the impact if you've only seen the last series so I suggest in order to get the full impact of the origination you better watch the first two seasons. |
| Hmm. Series: Haibane Renmei - Was gonna say Texhnolyze but someone else already did, and nobody's mentioned this. OVA: Cat Soup Film: Metropolis. One of the first anime films I saw and I still think it's a great film that not many people seem to have seen. I'll also mention Porco Rosso, since whilst it's a Ghibli film it seems to be ignored by many people :|. |

| Samurai Champloo, a friend of mine recommended it to me and I was absolutely stunned how good it was in all aspects! It ranks good on this site but I have seen on other sites it doesn't do so well, which I think is completely wrong. It's my all time favorite anime - AS OF NOW! :D I got a lot to go. |

| It may not be unknown or underrated, but I believe that Baccano! deserves more attention. In my opinion, out of what I've seen so far, there is no better anime. |
