| Oh I get it, Kyros wants a marriage to be for the right reasons. Seems to be the first time he found true love in his life, aka Marie. Also seems Kyros doesn't embrace the noble nature of his life. He's actually a more complicated character than I had thought. |

| Flashback to Kyros's childhood, and I like how Kyros enjoys sweets like chocolate cake and cookies. But I didn't expect those cookies to be the disaster. Kyros truly experienced a bitter time during his childhood. Kyros despises aristocratic ties and the social world, continues to avoid arranged marriages filled with strategy and calculation. Could it be that Kyros doesn't fully love Marie? Regardless, Marie looks truly beautiful in her red dress, but I feel that the green outline is distracting, isn't it? Marie and Kyros are eating together, but is that chicken teriyaki with mayonnaise? |

| Ahhh excellent follow-up episode to last week’s premiere. Getting Kyros’ backstory and learning about his aversion to high class society was really cool and explained why he fell so quickly for Marie! You have the perfect couple, Marie who’s been raised to look down on herself and Kyros who has also been looked down on because of his racial background and mother’s status. They’re both nobles who’ve faced hardships because of a closed minded society! You really understand why Kyros would be so against people just marrying him for status because he literally saw his dad’s other wife off herself just because none of her children would be heir. What I like about that scene particularly tho is that you see she’s not a bad person, like she was very nice to Kyros. She just couldn’t shake her desire for more status. Very human and real thing. I’m really impressed with the writing in this show. I LOVE how they don’t let any misunderstandings drag on, even in this episode we see several pop up that instantly get addressed. A lot of other shows would’ve left Marie thinking that Kyros was only marrying her because Anastasia “died” for a while before addressing it, not here. Kyros doubling down on the fact he wants Marie specifically and even confessing was so sweet. Of course you’re not going to undue years of emotional abuse in one episode, so I get Marie still being skeptical, but it’s a nice start! “Why are you under the impression that you’re ugly” Marie is so beautiful inside and out and I’m looking forward to her realizing that. S/O to Mio for being an amazing maid and best wingman to Kyros!! I love everything about this one so far. Also, Hannah and Ilza are so pretty! Swear everyone’s so gorgeous in this. |

| Welp, Kyros having his confession be rejected by the wrong sister, which Marie was supposed to be the star of her birthday night, how could things have gone so awry? The Granado family has its issues too only bearing the birth of females, with the only male being Kyros himself to take up the role as the successor of the Republic of Ipsandros, which ires his father's wife Laura enough to take her own suicide pill, following which he was taken out of the family alongside Liu Liu. Till then, he stood away from high society amidst the pressure of his role, and that's where Baron Shaderan's daughters came into play, where he with the love of his life of the younger sister, and not the older sister on display. And as much as the level of dedication he's had for Anastasia (I adore the body pllow though) until her untimely death, his personal maid Mio taking jabs at him for his uncouthly ungentleman-ness at Marie, it certainly is the feeling of dejectedness. Haha yelp, the more Kyros looked at Marie, the more he's smitten with her, misunderstandings and all. And amidst Marie's understanding that Kyros desired her older sister all the more, he's being serious about her even to the point of marriage, but that's not what Marie is understanding, or at least until Kyros makes his intentions clear. And even then, the mistreatment of the Shaderan family towards her fires up both Mio and Kyros to prohibit her going back home, even facing her true self on the mirror, that she'll be better living in the Granado mansion instead. This and all, is not a dream as Marie tries to understand her position in the house, as Kyros's fiancée, alongside her maid attendants of Hannah and Iiza who will tend to her every need. Marie is just too humble, she needs to treat herself better. |

| That Lady Laura had integrity from what looks like, the quarrel being kept between her and Liu Liu, and she didn't try to kill Kyros. Feels a shame she dying, but aristocracy bullcrap is aristocracy bullcrap. At least looks like the fixing of Marie self-confidence issues in on the way. By Kyros discovering that Marie's parents are assholes. Maybe profiling, those 2 new maids look like trouble. |

| Episode started from Kyros pov and we had a more interesting misunderstanding. Can't say I can blame Kyros for making that mistake. That one is on Marie's parents for being terrible tbh xD Simply put, they're to blame for everything, especially Marie's low self-esteem. |

| I think the thing I love the most so far is the Duke is just like "Your parents are abusing you right?" "You will never go back to that toxic environment again" "You don't have to be alone with them ever again" instead of him harboring some weird idea of some nice family life. Very excited to watch Marie get to grow and change in a positive loving environment. |

| The scene where she went to sleep towards the end of the episode was so marvelous... the delicate visuals, the soft music, her modest nature, everything made for such an endearing moment. It was a shame seeing Laura take her own life. It almost seemed like she wished to warm up to him, understanding that he had nothing to do with the circumstances of his family, in a way maybe trying to love Kyros as her own. Perhaps in a different life they could've become friends, both of them continuing to live happy lives... |

| Maybe it's cuz it's been a week but the annoyance I had with Kyros mixing the two up is gone now, especially with that flashback dump he just did in the beginning of the episode so I felt more "sorry" for him (I guess?). Now the struggle to woo Marie is real. Especially since he seems the clueless I-dunno-how-to-treat-people type that he's coming off as. *readies popcorn* |

| Welp, at least Kyros did his part by explaining his side of the story. If Marie chooses not to believe him, that’s on her, so I think Kyros leaving the room and ending the conversation there was actually the best decision he could’ve made. I really appreciate that, at the very least, he’s not pushy. That said, I do understand why Marie doesn't believe him. I think most girls would feel the same if they put themselves in her shoes, especially considering everything since childhood. In any case, I’m glad they at least reached some sort of understanding. Nevertheless, I genuinely hope Kyros proves his sincerity throughout his actions moving forward. So that Marie can gradually start to believe every word he said at the table while they were sharing that meal. On another note, just when Mio was already proving to be more than capable, now we've got both Hannah and Ilza entering the mix? I guess it's quantity over quality at this point, haha. |
