| It's back! Hanako-kun in its glory although I find it funny how they had exam problems this early on in the season. But seriously, it's good to see everyone back. The supernatural entity in this episode already gives ominous vibes and Nene is caught in the middle of trouble again. Going to be a fun and exciting season if they can keep this up. |

| Mangaka IroAida's Hanako-kun series is back for the 2nd of its split-cour treatment for Season 2! Masayoshi Oishi is back once again with yet another OP, though this is quite the contrast with the 1st Cour, that this is the better song of the 2. With the finals around the corner, both Nene and Ko are seemingly worried, because they'll be subject to voluntary work if they don't ace their semester exams well. Of course, even with Teru and Akane are also at it, though the latter if he loses to Teru and has Aoi married to him, it'll be the worst nightmare of his life. Even as the days wind down, both Nene and Kou having to deal with their own troubles, and Hanako just floating around. And sure, Akane might've aced his exams, but Teru gaining extra credits to sully the former's loss, and the Senpai entrusting Kou to him, though it's clear that Aoi got her usual first place, and thankfully Nene and Kou passing theirs too. The study camp after the torrential exams, and it's Nene's last chance to ever experience before her short lifespan ends. All seems well for a start, even the tradiitonal crafts project of making their own bamboo lamplight. But the rumour of shinigami with death incarnate after hearing the flute, and something that soon strikes both Nene and Akane. The unexpected guest dealing with the deathly hallows: Wonder No. 6, and Akane has to come out of his hiding as Wonder No. 1 to deal with, though Akane couldn;t handle the matter on time, and let Aoi be stolen away from him. Of all the Akari Kito EDs of the series, the 2nd Cour ED song stands amongst the best of the 3 EDs. |

| Great adaptation so far. The pacing / art /animation are getting better and better. I dont get the 3 hated it in the vote, the production and art are great so far. Weird that this series really don't get much hype from the west (despite quite popular in Japan) |
| Let’s fucking goo, we are back! I missed Hananene so much. I thought we were in for a chill start to the arc with finals and the sleepover, and they give us a kidnapping right off the bat 😭 excited to see Akane and Ao get their shine this season Not Teru threatening to ask Ao out of Akane didn’t do well on his exam lmao that’s one way to get a young man to lock in. Here I was thinking he was gonna be top of the world with that 500 points, just for Teru to top him with 502! Nene might have brushed it off last season, but she’s still a young girl and of course she’d be afraid of dying! It has to be nerve wrecking knowing it’s imminent and not knowing where it could come from.. it’s the waiting that kills you as they say. Hanako would feel so awful if he knew that since that was his whole point in keeping her in the painting world. Yea a sleepover in a school full of apparitions, what could go wrong? Not surprising at all they came out to kidnap the kids, but kidnapping Ao?! Also why was she able to resist Akane’s timestop? I think there’s more to her than meets the eye and we should find out in this arc. Nice set up episode, this should be another banger |

| OP might well become a favourite for me this season. Loved the themes in this episode too, though the exam crunch was quite the speedrun. Still, the second half made up for it with the traditions/occult. Akane being badass too, even if it's short-lived. Meanwhile, Hanako himself is practically ornamental for now. |
| I like that they casted Jun Fukuyama as the reaper. The OP and ED are great, better than first season's in my opinion. |

| The voice they chose for the reaper is really different from what I imagined when I was reading but hopefully I'll get used to it. Seems like the anime is nearly gonna catch up with the english releases by the end of this season! |

| A bit surprised with the reaction to the OP and ED, of course they’re another pair of greats by the main stays Masayoshi Oishi and Akari Kitou but I didn’t think they were definitely better than the previous songs, atm I would even say the OP is my least favorite of the 3 and the ED is tied with the 2nd ED but the 1st still reigns on top, eh I guess that’s just music taste lol, what hit so well with everyone else didn’t hit quite as well with me, and that’s okay, I still really liked the combo tho and I’m sure they’ll grow on me as they always do. But with that out of the way, it feels really good to be back to this series so soon after the first part of Season 2 back in the winter, it’s nice not having to wait 5 years for another entry this time lol. And this was a strong start, we just came off quite the serious arc so it’s nice to get more of a lighthearted bit with the final exam preparation, I liked Nene’s made up scenario where she became a “make-up Daikon” as well as Akane’s fear of Aoi getting married to Teru lol. It’s just unfortunate for Akane that despite getting a perfect score, turns out it’s possible to get above a perfect score, kinda bullshit but at least Aoi outdid Teru somehow, I loved that face she made when Teru realized lol. But it didn’t take long and now we’re already in another situation involving a school wonder, this time it’s the sixth wonder aka the Grim Reaper, it was pretty epic of him to kill those weird monster guys but now he’s taken the purple haired ray of sunshine that is Aoi, now this guy has hell to play lol, a pretty intense start to this opening arc of the season. |

| holy shittt the animation/art style when number 6 showed up was AMAZING! seeing it has me really looking forward to the rest of the episodes now. i wish the entire show looked like that, the new ending is super cute too (and as a manga reader i almost cant believe that they're already adapting this arc, then i remember it's been 4 years since it came out so it really isn't that crazy after all lol) |

| @Allycattt Fr, I did not expect them to pick Fukuyama Jun for a grim reaper, he's not usually the type that plays villains or very dark characters. In fact I think most of his roles alongside his best roles are comedic characters, princes, and main characters. I'm not saying he's bad at playing villains, he just doesn't stand out as good at playing darker/evil characters. |

| Well this was a good start to the next part, I found s2 started fairly dull and ended on a high not so im hoping the second part can keep that up, and so far its doing well |

| What a weird way to come back, honestly felt like a filler episode for the whole duration until Nene ran into number 6 there at the end. Gonna need to call up help from good ol' Hanako now... I mean, it was gonna end in that anyways xD |

| Cool start of this 2nd season 2nd part with them try harding the finals exam ahah and it worked but seems like you can get extra points for answering too well lol. Anyway there had to be something happening and this 2nd half was not chill at all... that Shinigami is sure a scary one and now Aoi got kidnapped by him :S |
