Riri is back and her love for alcohol is like no other! The food this episode also had decent variety.

Chika and Riri's chemistry is great to see. Riri is the more mature one here but the two gets along just fine just like her other friends.

Lily saved that child.
And we got the ed two times first part was really short.
But the other part was enjoyable we got the see lot's of good sights again.
Now it looks like Chika is doing better with her manga as well.
Hopefully her next adventure will propel her manga to a new realm.

Best episode yet.

They went to find food at Ise Bay but couldn't find any. Really liked how it was 2 minutes long, the perfect length for the best episode of the series. I hope next week can top this MASTERPIECE of an episode. I really wish there were most episodes like this, just short and nice.

They went to the Ise area but didn't try the Matsusaka Beef??!

Locations:
Totorin Fish Market
Wakamatsuya
Ise Jingu Geku
Ise Jingu Naiku
Iwatoya
Hakutaka
Akafuku
Kaigetsu
Minato Shokudou
Meoto-iwa
Akafuku Futami

Now, she rode on the night bus, the night train, Sunrise Seto/Izumo, awaits you. To be precise, I would say ride on Sunrise Izumo to Izumoshi and visit the Izumo Taisha. It is one of the most ancient and important Shinto shrines in Japan.
Since she has already gone to Takamatsu before, so the Sunrise Seto is no longer an option.

Not the episode ending two minutes in because Riri and Chika couldn’t eat at the fish market 😭 Ise bay trip was cute and educational just as we’ve come to expect. Always nice to get Riri and Chika duo travel as they’re such nice foils for one another’s personality!

I really want to see Ise shrine and the rope connecting the two giant stones in person now! You know a place has to be cool for Riri to stay composed and not drink the whole time lol. Well, at least until that night when she got some local sake. It’s so funny to me how much anime will do ANYTHING to avoid showing underaged drinking. Like that flashback of Riri is ridiculous because you know damn well no one is watching a clock and waiting to midnight to start drinking.

“Beyond frustration, happiness awaits.” Some very good advice from Riri-oneesan. Even she has her occasional bits of wisdom! Seriously though I love how she’s become a nurturing older sister figure to Chika lol at Chika getting turned on by how she sips sake. Our girl’s so gay.

Night bus trip! Yay we’re gonna see Miyajima. I was wondering if they’d complete all 3 sacred views of Japan. It’s the only one I’ve seen, so I’m very excited to see how they cover it in the anime, especially the deer on the island lol. That dream sleeper bus is real btw and very much a right of passage for any Japanese travel vlogger lol. Kinda tempted to try that someday. Hopefully Chika doesn’t get sick this time around lol.

Fun episode as usual.

When one thinks of Ise the first thing that pops up is always the shrine. Riri was like a god that appeared out of nowhere. But good thing she did cause the road behind her was dangerous. Rebuilding the shrine buldings every 20 years must be costly. Meoto Iwa defo is one place im adding for places to visit. Yui's interactions with Fuyune was just adorable. Lol the ref to dragonball. That night coach sure was nice.

There's no food there— The end.

OH, COOL! Buses! This is a fancy one (I'm still waiting on planes, though)

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Wow! I would like to take a ride on that bus too. The backgrounds are beautiful, the narration is as well. With all these anime that talk about Japanese tourist destinations, staying still in front of a screen watching anime is a bit difficult, you feel like leaving immediately to visit those destinations.

The motion sickness is so real, especially with highest motion sickness coming from a bus (Bus > car > train) due to how they work. I can't handle more than a 10 minute ride on a bus either or car either without feeling sick, unless I'm the one driving when it comes to cars.

I used to suffer badly on buses, but modern coaches on air suspension tend not to lean on corners or bounce so the experience is way better for me now. The driver skill level is important too.

That kid wanted to get hit by a car, you can't convince me otherwise. Also I'm a little sad the editor didn't join them on the trip, I thought she'd make a fun addition to the expedition.

I'll never understand the Japanese fixation of not drinking alcohol even if no one sees you when you're underage, i mean who cares?

I don't know if you're serious or not, but it's just a fictional thing with no ties to reality.

Finally caught up with this. For an anime with a few too many backgrounds that look like processed photographs, the temple scenes don't have that many (and I think they look better for it). Some taboo on putting those photos in anime, and requiring that they be drawn normally instead?

I was mildly concerned that that overly eager worker at the inn was sending them off to a scam restaurant, but, I guess they can't actually show that in a tourism anime.

I feel like Zatsu Tabi is better than Mono or Hibi Meshi at nailing the relaxing tone, although it's a little overdependent on photographic backgrounds for my liking, and doesn't seem to be about much else than showing off the locations.

Riri seems very religious and spiritual, she can’t wait to pray to the gods at the shrine. But then she can’t wait to get drunk every night. LOL. Are the gods pleased at her degenerate behavior??

Most of the religious people I know don't even drink. Maybe it’s a cultural thing.

Good episode though.

That dream sleeper bus is indeed a mysterious bus.

It didn't looked like that big from outside.
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

Has Chika's red hat shrunk? It was a tiny cap the first half of the episode, like they forgot or something.

Well at least this time we have some actual anime, well sort of- it's not filtered photographs like last time.
You can tell this studio has basically never made anime before this, all the backgrounds are very basic- flat horizon lines- featureless landscapes full of CGI trees dropped in everywhere. But I would still ask any Americans especially- who I know typically think their country is an ugly, featureless sprawl of retail and stroads- what do you really see here? In these locations they travel to?

If you look closely- most of the buildings are nondescript; like the fish joint they walk into in the first 5, how different is that from a 7-Eleven?
Riri jumps out and stops a boy from getting run over by cars speeding by... so their towns are just as hostile to pedestrians as ours...
Most of the places they visit apart from temples are restaurants- and the interior decor may be very nice- but so is the interiors of many of the restaurants I've been to in Italy. And elsewhere in Western Europe. The hotel I stayed at in Liverpool, in the city's old City Council building, was more fabulous than anything shown here. And the service was arguably even more friendly.
Everything looks very clean- but also very plain and dull.

When an intercity bus pulls up, the girls act like it's magical.
But haven't you seen those sleepers on every motorway in the US, UK, Western Europe? It's just an ordinary bus. Who rides a bus!! (people who can't afford a car) Yet here they act like it has mystical powers.

The only thing that's mystical about it is you have much less a chance of getting stabbed than one in Britain or America. But that's only because it's in Japan (where you have less of a chance of getting stabbed overall)
A very pleasant group of girls, pleasant anime, but it reveals the same thing that YuruCamp kind of does about modern Japan- most of it looks kind of sterile and dull. But of course, since it's slightly different than here, WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Chika and Riri's disappointment was so immeasurable they decided to conclude the episode earlier xD

Why did they make that "god" look like a creep??

First time I hear of that kind of buses. They do look comfy but I would 100% fall asleep the moment they start moving lol.

Well, the episode ended really fast 😆. The duo Chika and Riri mostly traveled to shrines, with some delicious-looking food there, and I was right to guess that Riri was vanishing to get her sake.

They even got to meet God in person, and we also discovered a new side of Riri—that she can be shy. I'll have to say, while drunk, she's rather attractive.

Chika is on her 8-hour-long late-night bus journey, but with her motion sickness, we'll see how she fares. Hopefully, it goes well.

Chika going to Ise Bay with Riri, sadly there isn't any food there, so play the ending...

Wait, pivoting to Matsutaka to see the shrines, it's still worth it. Of course, Riri is all about sake, and buying a few bottles at that (while getting Chika a non-alcoholic one) for some girl talk, getting to know how the former got her love for sake, for someone who just wants to drink.

The creepy man coming up to them and teaching about what Ise has to offer, he's most likely a wandering god leading the girls to even better food (like Akafuku ice shavings). And thatforming part of a draft, her editor Yoshimoto had a good idea for her to take the redeye bus ride, though Chika has got quite the drama concerning her sickness.

Yui being a mega fan of Fuyune is quite the attraction, and night bus Dream Sleeper to Osaka...is quite spacious to cover Japan's 3 top views for a base fare of 60,000 yen...it's quite the pressure for Chika.

Conquer the sights before the staggering price...

Ise Bay
Chika and Riri left together.
Riri was normal throughout the trip, until they arrived at the hotel and well...things happened.
She was buying alcohol xD
I really like Riri and the friendship she has with Chika is beautiful.
The Dream Sleeper
Chika, Fuyune, and Yui are going to Osaka.
Chika will have to conquer the three views of Japan xd.
Let's see how it goes, good chapter.
