Well, this is the conclusion of this 'rescue Rensuke' arc.

The arc only had a few episodes but imo, it had the most emotional impact of the entire series. Seimei truly wanted to help a friend in need and this is the selfless side to his character. The series itself turned out to be much lighthearted but these past few episodes has been quite a ride imo.

Great to see them save Rensuke and have him still in the school. This was such a good show it would be nice if we got a second season.

I'm impressed by how Amaaki, Seimei’s brother, managed to play his role. The battle was tough—if we can even call it one—but by the end of this episode, all of Seimei’s students know about his exorcist powers and trust him.

Rensuke and Kuniko have finally opened up, but they should have become a couple instead of just friends.

Would love to have another season of this.

With Kurai held back, Haruaki and the rest push on to reach Rensuke, with Tamao eventually reaching him and telling him the truth, that he'll remain as his best friend. Even with the threat from Rensuke's father, it's up to the son to decide what is his calling with the secret message on the quiz paper. Yes, one can tell that Hajime paid all the reservations just to ensure his wife Renka's safety that his son would remain fine, but you have to agree with Sano that Hajime babied his son way too much.

It took a risk for Haruaki to have him helped by his twin brother, so much so to Kurai whom he's blinded by that simple fact. That sealed their victory, and Rensuke is not only his withdrawal withheld, but he also managed to reconciliate with Utagawa for their 7 years of feelings unresolved, developed into a starting relationship. And even till the end, Haruaki still going around with his uniform fetish, but that's him, a teacher in a ghoul school.

This show may be inferior to Iruma-kun, but it is a decent show for what it is.

CALLED IT that wasnt the right Abe all along, man the brother rly clutched even on a short notice still understood the assignment. Finally seeing the fathers side of argument, explained how he acted and why hes going to length for Nyuudou.I do wish Tama or Kurai wouldve told him about their meeting with his wife.

Genuinely really good series especially coming from Satelight.Despite obvious drop in quality,i'd say for the most part they delivered. Some are disappointed with the simple visuals, but honestly they made up for it with the directing especially with the comedy being actually funny.Felt that they did gave a lot of care for the show.Been on the fence for the score, but gonna go with a

I'm not sure, but maybe this is some kind of spoiler.

I was not expecting much from this series and in the beginning I was getting exactly that, a casual comedy, and Stanley- I mean "I" was happy.
But suddenly, a trend begun to emerge; every episode was almost always better than the last!
I was enjoying every second of watching this even if it was nonsensical and the animation average!
Then the final four episodes showed me that it's truly impossible to predict what's going to happen in this show!
It was definitely not what I was expecting, yet now I wouldn't want anything else in its place.
I thought this series was solid, but it turned out to be immovable; a lighthouse within a sea of seasonals that suddenly fell off like there was low tide!

There’s a clear line between protecting a child and controlling them for one’s own benefit. Rensuke’s father was just controlling Rensuke for his own benefit and never thought about his child once, he didn’t even register that his child had grown up.

And so we end with Nyuudou-kun being allowed to stay at school and start a new relationship with Utagawa.

This series surprised me. I actually wasn't left all that impressed after the first few episodes, but the more I watched the more the characters, their interactions and the plot started to grow on me. It helped, I think, that I chose to marathon the first cour after it ended so the weekly drag during those early episodes was taken out of the equation. This show used past relationship reveals rather effectively as well, giving an often wholesome and generally feel-good vibe throughout, even if the humor was a bit repetitive(Seimei's uniform obsession) and the messaging not exactly original. I wouldn't mind watching another 50 episodes of this and, if my manga shelf space weren't so full already, I might have considered picking up the manga. Can't give a much higher compliment than that can you? Solid 8/10.

I like this anime since the very first episode but I used to think that this anime is not a good one, but now I change my mind, this is a good anime. And I want more, a lot more!

One thing I don't like is that the ghost train arc is too tragic, there are real casualties, I don't want to see that. I can handle some tragic backstory like Kuniko/Ruri past if it can resolve in a hopeful way, like this episode!

A fine show overall but that was a sweet finish with Nyuudou-kun's arc and the whole thing with Kuniko-chan added a whole layer of intrigue to it. Lovely to see that they quickly transitioned to the couple phase with the beach flirting, xD. I wasn't expecting it to be this deep when Nyuudou's mother first appeared, lol. I thought it'd be over in an instant and moving on to the next arc but then Kuniko-chan's viewpoint came too and ended this season on a high.

Beautiful insert song there during the reunion, by the way. Anyone's got the info on that?

@KANLen09 Honestly, the Iruma-kun reference is on point and I'm guilty of expecting something like that here. Still held up decently on its own though, I agree.

A very fun and sweet finale, I had no doubt they would save Nyuudou but the way they did it was unexpected, I had no idea that Amaaki was a part of this in any way, but I guess it makes sense since Haruaki did seem kinda absent until now, clever plan tho. I also liked the backstory with Nyuudou’s dad, he was definitely a bit misunderstood, but it was still a dick move of him to try and force Nyuudou to quit the school, I’m glad he’s come around now tho. And lastly was the bit with Utagawa, her and Nyuudou are at long last reunited, properly this time, but I like that Utagawa is going to continue with her new self and not cling to Ruri, that’s how we’ve known her the whole time after all, and let’s be real, she’s pretty much in with Nyuudou already lol.

And that was it for the perverted teacher and his spooky students anime, I had a lot of fun with this one over its two cours. It may not have had the greatest production ever but it made up for that in the comedy and uniqueness department, I don’t think I could have told you how each episode would turn out at any point, it was just that wild lol, and of course there were plenty of laughs to be had along the way. It really had quite the cast of characters too, there was a character for everyone pretty much, you weren’t a fan of Haruaki? Maybe you’ll stick around for Sano, or any other youkai student, they all had something different to offer, lots of cool designs among them too, I was especially a fan of Utagawa, even before her backstory reveal.

And the OPs and EDs were all really good, a good mix of wacky songs and chill songs, all of them fitting for the show, Youkai Rendezvous never did stop giving me Thriller vibes lol. I think I’ll miss this show quite a bit, even Haruaki and his fixation on school uniforms, a Season 2 would be nice but I know this is an older manga, not sure how likely it is but I sure would like to see it.

nuuuuuuuu it's overrrrrrrrrrr can we get a season 2? 😂
it was fun throughout the whole ride and even with some serious moments it takes it back a bit to go back to the true gag comedy that this is, gonna miss tf out of Haruaki's class and his crazy uniform antics and hope one day we can see them back again for more unhinged daily school life banter

I am so sad this ended I wasn't expecting it to be my favorite anime of the season at all, I have liked it since episode 1. Some parts were just to funny and I laughed so hard I cried. I am really hoping for a season 2 and am for sure going to pick up the manga after this!

all's well that ends well. it's nice that nyuudou and ruri got a fresh start now that they're both youkai. and i wasn't expecting that twist using abe-kun's older twin as decoy, but it was hilarious how he needed his haru-recharge after going through that entire ordeal lol wish i can see more of where they go from here, but i doubt they'll have a second season for this series.

Pretty enjoyable show. I'm pleased that it has 24 episodes and covered so much about the Youkai lore and characters, however I'm not sure that they'll make a second season. Overall very good.

I never imagined where the plot was gonna go, especially since I thought this was gonna be an episodic gag comedy, but I was pleasantly surprised.

It's underrated, and I'm hoping for a second season.

It’s a good anime with great comedic timing in every episode, similar to Iruma-kun. The characters are interesting and well-developed, with Seimei being a fun and playful protagonist with a thing for uniforms. The plot revolves around his power, and there’s a bit of drama towards the end with Nyuudou and his family, but it all works out in the end. The adaptation covers up to chapter 77, and if it got a season 2, I’d watch it, but it could definitely fit into 12 episodes. I’d give it a 7.5.

I'm going to miss this so much. It was the highlight of my week for 2 seasons straight.

I wish the final scene had been at the school so we could see the other teachers and principal.

This was definitely one of my favorites this season. I'm desperately hoping for a season 2. This show was freaking hilarious, but it could also get quite emotional. And all the characters had their highly distinct personalities and traits
