| Video game companies have been milking Early Access for YEARS now. People pay extra or buy special editions just to play a game a few days and weeks early. Some folks would 100% pay for early access to the latest Demon Slayer episode instead of risking spoilers online. It could also help anime studios and licensors make more money without relying solely on Blu-ray sales or ads. |

| They do, it's called a cinema release. Also anime isn't high profile enough to warrant "Early Access", that business model wouldn't work because anime is made on a weekly basis unless it's a bulk binge release in the netflix model. |
| They already had cinema releases for the first episode of Demon slayer's SSV arc and Hashira training arc. That's early access for anime and it did make a lot of money. |

| Should just give anime gatcha mechanics. Pick a show, throw in a $1, and get a random episode, including an episode you may have already bought. Final episode has super-dee-duper low probability of being pulled, but if you buy 200 episodes without landing it you can get it guaranteed on your next pull! |

| Some do and it is a bad business model because it encourages piracy in order to avoid spoilers even for people who may otherwise pay and it divides the community where they can't really discuss things synchronized together which can weaken interest by the seemingly reduced engagement. I think the better move would be to focus on quality over quantity and have engagement with the audience to build a dedicated fanbase. Also there shouldnt be any exclusive distribution for digital content that should be available everywhere and what should be focused on is quality of service. Also they need to bring down the price of Blue Ray disks they are just artificially high it feels like. Bringing them down some may encourage more money spent from more separate purchases since the money feels better spent especially when paired with the focus of quality over quantity. Also I do think a new physical media format backward compatible with blue ray would be nice something to hold more data on it and maybe mini games in it too or something. |

| They have to get their heads out of their asses first and figure out how to plug the millions of holes in their business model that results in so much piracy. The music and movie industry figured it out (mostly) they should be able to. This means Japan needs to: Get rid of the PC98s, they're out of date. Quit treating your jobs like they're a pension plan. Upgrade your fucking tech out of the mid-20th century into the 21st so you can spend less time with manual work and spend the savings developing better distribution. No more "black company" bullshit making people work 23 hours per day. Empower people to make suggestions no matter their job level, unleash some actual innovation. All anime producers, studios, management and distributors would need to overhaul and modernize their entire business structure to do these things. They can't possibly create new profitable things like Early Access unless they start at square one. Otherwise it'll just get pirated to shit immediately, and they'll have wasted their development yens for nothing. |
