i only watch few anime but i enjoy them all like daima yes i scored it higher than other shows i watch recently

solo leveling is cool its more rule of cool than a serious logical written show

I think that the keyword here is "did" rather than do.
In my teenage years what served that purpose were Facebook groups (Most that either don't exist anymore or aren't nearly as active) and pages, as well as the anitube of the era and sometimes MAL.
There's also /a/, of which I would ask is as good now as it was back then (Though there is an argument to be made that nowadays /a/ is mostly "General threads about specific anime" rather than threads about anime IN GENERAL.)
As for r/anime, yeah, that average level there is quite low. If something, when I came back to using MAL forums I was actually surprised on how high the level here is compared to there.

It's a bit sad, really, because I feel that the type of discussion I used to like still exists alive and when in the gaming sphere, but when it comes to anime, despite "more people watching anime than never"... there's nothing. I was even thinking about making a thread named "Schrodinger's Anime Industry" discussing how, at the same time, it's never been so good and it's never been so over.

I think I have a bit of a "Idiocracy" doomerist view: The previous generation seemed smarter than mine, mine seemed smarter than the next, and it seems that this might continue... But I digress.
Similar to how I told people that the absolute LACK of pressure for one to read books nowadays was what made me think "OK, if no one will make me do it, I will make me do it", lately I've been having a similar approach to anime, on wanting to watch older, less talked about stuff that looks interesting to me.

If you're curious about the specifics, just watch Digibro's videos from 6 to 10 years ago. Maybe the point from the /a/ guy is correct: There is less of an "anime community" nowadays and more of a bunch of disjointed groups that each just watch some specific anime.

HAHA Hi! I'm the wrong person to ask that, as I stopped watching seasonal's long time ago, still I may watch many show's when they stop airing in two weeks [so I won't be that behind anymore XD] [as I'm still watching Spring 2024].

From interesting stuff I've watched recently [let's start with Spring] - The Fable, Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai and right now I'm watching Kaijuu no 8. [is it typicall shounen? yeah. Is it fun to watch? yup.]

either way I also recently took a short break to watch a tv show - "From" [2022] - a horror drama and damn, it was so good!! It has 3 season's now and 4th will come out next year. I really like it, for characters and the entire horror setting it has, It truly has all my favorite horror trope's in one, I was shocked XD
