| A flashback when they first met! Well at least Akane has good memory about her encounter with Saito back in her days. But yeah, it felt like this series had to get this type of episode out for the season finale. Got to see all the cast back again. Himari also got her moment even it was somewhat bittersweet. Overall, in a nutshell, this anime is what it is. It didn't really hide its intentions and was mostly a tease with countless bickering and some sweet moments in between. Glad it didn't drag out too much. |

| As much as Akane still spews her usual lovey-dovey and hatred at Saito, it's clear that she's the girl that he interacted with at the Hojo family gathering, and though she remembered him for years to come, Saito unfortunately reacted otherwise, which hurts her heart all the more. Even Himari has her family problems, which she tries to stay out and having Saito save her coincidentally, they're both peas in a pod, and Himari clearly not being able to hold her feelings, gives Saito her first kiss for the favour of being her pretend boyfriend. Maho and Shisei wanting to know what's up with Saito being so down, and Akane basically got the shock of her life knowing the kiss went down, which Himari doubled down on her seriousness for Saito, leading to the confrontation between best friends that gets heated from the get-go, not wanting to relent on their experiences with the young man himself, even going as far back as middle school. To break their long friendship for love and romance, it certainly was two girls bickering at each other for 2 years, to now initiate a fair fight between each other to woo Saito. Yep, Akane is just the insufferable Tsundere that is just unwilling to admit that she's in love with Saito, until she's forced to admit otherwise. Still, this is some relationship soap opera that is worth the watch...if you have sanity in your heart. |

| So they're each other's first crushes, but one has a busted memory and didn’t remember her, and the other just cannot say her feelings, so now they "hate" each other. That’s kinda sad… I figured it was something like this, but honestly, she looks way different with her hair cut off. I wouldn’t have recognized her either. Seriously though, ugh, these two… like really. They both know they were each other's first love, especially him, since he won’t shut up about that girl he met (who is literally her). And now we find out she was in love with him back then too. She probably still loves him, but nope, instead of just saying something and fixing this dumb misunderstanding, she just keeps poking at him. He was so sure she was the girl, but then miss tsundere made him doubt himself, and now we’re back to square one… Also kinda sucks that the gyaru’s gonna lose just because of the whole forgotten childhood friend cheat code. Wait, hold up, I think I cracked the system: normal childhood friends always lose, but forgotten childhood friends always win. I get that being forgotten hurts, but come on, girl, you could’ve just told him who you were right then and there. But ofc, if that happened, there’d be no story. Let’s be real, if the misunderstanding got solved that fast, the anime would just throw in more love rivals or some random drama just to keep it going. What a ending, that's for sure. I was actually liking quite a bit before this one. I didn't like this show at the beginning, but slowly but surely as things kept developing, I opened up to it and started to like it's comedic and sweet moments... but man, this episode flushed almost everything down. Keyword though, almost. I still liked this show for what it was, but defiantly not as much as before this episode. If there's one thing I am walking out of this liking, it's my goat Shisei. Just how can ya hate her adorableness... gah, I'm gonna miss my weekly dosage of her. |

| Can’t believe it’s over! Saito and Akane rocked my world each week. I’m gonna miss them sm! This was a really nice finale, I know some people are gonna be upset with Himari behavior, but I like it honestly. Not only did she get Akane to finally say out lout how she feels about Saito, but Himari is also entitled to be in love with Saito too and it’s not like they’re officially legally married.. they both like the same guy and may the best person win is how I say it 🤷🏾♂️ as long as it’s not Shise or Akane little sister I’m fine with this love triangle because they both have very valid reasons to like the MC and Saito doesn’t do himself any favors in terms of making Himari fall deeper lmao. Plus that KISS!! It is a bit hilarious that Saito has a photographic memory but can’t remember he and Akane meeting as kids tho lmao. I really had fun with this one. It’s one of the best arranged marriage series, Akane is a rare well written tsundere, Himari is a fun love rival who as we found out a couple episodes ago, is actually very intelligent and Saito is such a badass. I mean the dude just stood up to 3 grown ass men and told them to fuck off and leave Himari alone. No wonder the dude has a harem. Just a really fun watch and while this feels more like the start of the story than anything, I’m sad to see it end! I know some people are like “what’s the point of the show if she’s not gonna be honest at the end and it’s like bruh, if Akane confessed rn the series would be over in a volume or two lol. They obviously have to stretch things out and Saito isn’t dumb, he knows Akane actually doesn’t hate him. |

| So she could not be honest with herself to the end. At least she didn't end up breaking of her friendship with himari so that's a good sign. Anyway it was a nice anime to watch. |

| what a waste of 12 episodes, what even is the point of half adapting an anime just to run circles of the main couple constantly switching between "I hate you" and "I think I actually like you"? The characters, besides this annoying cycle, are likeable and I was looking forward to seeing them getting together, but no, 12 episodes aired just to end the story exactly where it started off this is possibly the first ever anime I watched where there's virtually no progression all things considered. Yet I feel robbed because the characters are just that interesting to follow. Regardless of source material, this would've been the easiest adaptation to nail, but here we are empty handed |

I love how they both went all out against each other, and Himari broke it by admitting she knew all along that Akane has feeling for Saito. I'll say it again, I love Akane but this was all her fault. Akane: "...It was just suppose to be acting, but you're all over him." Girl... she told you she has feeling for him... I don't think it's weird that she'll go for him despite it being just acting. I love this series, so I will rewatch this in the future. But for now, I'm sad that it's ended. 9/10 |
| This was so horrible worst of worst was saved for the last episode. Absolute garbage writing garbage characters, utterly disgusting. Flashback I thought atleast they gonna end in calm wholesome note no... Himari saved his worst stunt for last. Kissing a man against his wishes aside she is literally snaked Akane for 3 years. Exploited her friendship to get close to Saito and then kick her when finsihed. Akane tsundere antics one thing but still making out with your friends husbend and proudly look down upon said friend is so trash behaviour ofg. Literally started insulting her without her help she probably failed high school. Trying to spin the narrative "to force Akane make her mind" doens't work when you are hostile to her. And even after all she still didn't let Saito go and basically nothing changed. That cat fight and suddenly pretend nothing happened back to being friends just shows how shitty the writing is. Himari have to one the worst characters I saw this season, better dying than having such friend. Akane hardly got better either. Just bad all around. Last episode was so so bad 6/10 -> 5/10 If this shitshow gets S2 while piles and piles better rom-coms doesn't I give up. I expected silly romcom which it delivered somewhat but if your main characters and plots are this annoying how can side characters save enough. **Rant over**  Thanks my Best Girl(s) and Best imouto(s) for helping me get though this garabge... |
| Only for Himari, Maho and Shisei I'll give it a 9 instead of a 7., because Akane as a heroine loses to all of them in everything, as well as it's a pity that not enough showed Rui, the maid is worth more screen time. |

| And so we end with the reveal of Himari's ridiculously circuitous plot to get Akane to finally start fighting for her man, and of course, a restoration of the status quo. Woof, what a final arc huh? It was paced so badly I genuinely thought last week I missed an episode. But no, they just largely ignored it last week only to then bring it up as the focus of the finale! What....what??? Well best-girl Himari saved this from being a total loss, but this show was still bland, boring, silly and immensely forgettable. It's a horse race between it and Ubel Blatt for worst show I watched this season, but this probably wins. I actually vaguely remember enjoying Ubel Blatt's source manga, what I read of it anyway. Which tells me it's merely the anime adaptation that sucked. But this I watched blind and it sucked. No interest in watching anymore if more gets made. 5/10. |

| What an absolute horrid finale. Cero progress on everything, except Himari. She clearly cemented herself as the best girl with the final episode. Akane, even though I didn't mind her at the beginning and I actually like Tsundere(well done tsundere), she went completely down for after Himari asked her TWICE if she has permission from her and she still didn't do anything. What a waste of a show. Himari won, enough said. |
| With this now Himari has checked all things a losing heroine does, too nice for her own good, sasuga. But yeah this was long coming, it was obvious what she was trying to do. Also the girl from long ago was Akane, again no surprise. Though I'm deeply curious about what Shise said, Saito's first wasn't Himari, oh boy. And that's it. While I enjoyed this I don't want to see any of the girl rejected and sad so no thanks, don't want more. If only author stuck with the title and didn't make this a harem. |

| Unironically think this is better than blue box. So overall this show was surprisingly good imo generally all the characters were very good and Saito was a surprisingly good male mc since usually they are just super dull. I could definitely see Akane being annoying to a wider audience but I mean personally I really enjoyed her character. I really liked the idea behind the show and think it was done pretty well. Himari was also a really good character, definitely a little overbearing at times but I really liked her. Maho and Shisei were also pretty good characters. Also a little overbearing at times but I liked them a lot Overall a very enjoyable show personally 9/10 |

| Akane is making me realize that I don't like tsundere's, or maybe it's just the zero progression that the anime has that's making me think this. I also think that this was fine, up until the fake relationship, because that's when the show fell apart in my opinion. |

| @SoraSenpai You can say that again. Akane downright wins the worst and most annoying FL award of all time in my book, and, man does she have an insane competition there!!! And she remained shit to the very end, impressive :D The only good thing about her is her VA, doing a stellar job and saving the show from an instant drop for me. Anyway, if I ever bring myself to fully watch the show, instead of just skimming trough it, I cant imagine it will be more than a 4/10. With unimpressive at best ML and pure crap FL, the VAs and supports can only get you this far. Jiraya's VA was especially nostalgic to me, so sad that he had barely any lines. I cant believe how they got such a great talent on such a shit plot. Bleh... |

| @SoraSenpai I couldn't have put it any better myself. I had a hard time believing a man could fall in love for real with someone like that. They should have at least given her an unbearably beautiful character design to suspend disbelief for the viewer but not even that. |

| I love that ending very much, even more than some parts of the anime, I think without Himari this anime would noe be good at all. Himari should be his wife she is the best, sincere, daring (but in a positive way not like some real girls), prettiest from all girls (1. Himari 2. Maho), just best in this anime. Himari also even saying otherwise tried to be fair towards Akane and let her notice her own feelings, but that she didn't give up like in other anime I love it very much, because it was not cliche that bad main heroine wins. I mean I know Akane will win, but that is sad.. she still doesn't love Saito, she is just jealous like the gardener's dog that eats no cabbage and won't let others either. The worst type of person, not sincere with even herself.. even though she can be pretty or cute she is the worst girl in this anime... almost like its not harem, but reverse harem ? Shoujo? not sure what its called.. like Akane is the center of the show, but she is so bad she only has one love interest that she can't get on with.. The anime was ok there were some funny moments, better than average shows, but still lacking. |
