| A year later, and mangaka Shuichi Shigeno's Initial D sequel series is back for its 2nd season. Not sure what to feel of Yuu Serizawa feat. MOTSU's 2nd OP here, but the Eurobeat definitely took a step back. Likewise with Himika Akaneya with her 2nd ED. The MFG competition continues with Kanata in the Toyota 86 racing down the streets with its 2nd stop prelims at Lake Ashinoko, earning its name of the White Reaper with the famed driver at the wheel. But with the underpowerered car, Kanata has to make do with his skills that was taught by Takumi to get him climbing the prelims, which earning 8th place in the Godly Fifteen is already an impressive feat. As always, the final day of prelims with Michael Beckenbauer in his Cayman, he impresses like the usual, and the competition heats up while Ren gets her time with Kanata all the more. It's a decent return to the frenetic races, though how much will Kanata make do of the next round of the competition coming up? |

| Finally back after 3 seasons. Got so excited watching Kanata drift. He shocked everyone as usual. Ren's also as cute as ever. Hope they have a fun time in their date. New theme songs from same artist again and both OP,ED are good but I love s1 ones more. Super excited for upcoming episodes. |

| Serizawa and MOTSU are back with 2nd season's op. I like that each driver gets cards with their name and car. Off to a strong start with Kanata having traction control off and drifting. Hearing Kanata's stories of instructor Takumi giving him drifting lessons outside of the curriculum and being a father figure gets teary eyed. UK's seafood culture is what? Eels, Fish 'n chips? Beckenbauer breaks Sawatari's records so clinically in qualifiers but the latter may still show him up in the race. | Episode was going so well until they had to put the 17 year old obsessed pedo on my screen fuckk, can’t this dude get in a car crash or something Kanata qualifying and pushing the 86 to its limits was dope though, as usual the Eurobeat really made that moment even more hype. Really just a nice appetiser for what should be an action packed season. Hard to believe it’s been a year irl since this was airing and I’m looking forward to another 3 months of racing. |

| eurobeat is back to save anime again! glad to see it and we get straight into the adrenaline-pumping action. i think the OP from the previous season (jungle fire) was better than this one but i still like it and the ED is nice as well. damnnnn we got a few glimpses of my boy takumi, that's even more than the manga did😭 |

| The only thing left missing for anime in 2024 was the sound of the addictive Eurobeat and MF Ghost is here to fill in that piece! This episode didn't waste time in getting things back in action with Kanata's qualifying run on the 2nd course, which has its own challenging sections compared to the first circuit back in the previous season. Combined with the Eurobeat music, seeing him fly around and drifting in his Toyota 86 always puts a solid smile on my face. =) While Sawatari remains a bit weird with what he likes, I do hope that he gives Beckenbauer a good run for his money during the race. These two in the Porsche 718 Cayman and Alpine A110 with most likely be on a two horse race for 1st place, so I do look forward in seeing who will win between them, assuming no one else causes an upset. As with the 1st season, the OP song is catchy and great, while the ED song is mellow and calm. Great stuff as always! |

| Same band for the 2nd OP! Wonderful visuals as always and while the classic Eurobeat is not as apparent in this new OP, I still like it! The beat is exciting. The ED is a contrast being slower paced and well, visually focused only on Ren not that any of that matters. Jumping straight from where S1 left, we see Kanata take on the qualifying race on this new track, I think this will be a great race for him, plenty of zones where his technique and skills will shine but the upward incline to the finish line will remain as his biggest challenge yet. As always, the German dude in the Cayman would ofc get first place, still wondered why Michael uses the 2017 718 Cayman S when the Cayman GT4 is available. Was it so that he'll have less drag for the long straights? In any case, he's got the skills down and could easily get pole position just by pacing himself with the Alpine-driving-17-years-old-lover. Nice jab at the UK's bland food variety lol. |

| Nice to see MF Ghost back. This series doesn't quite hit the same as Initial D for me, but I still enjoy it a lot. Kanata's already the best MFG driver in terms of technique, it's just that his underpowered car holds him back from dominating everyone. |

| MF Ghost Season 2, let's go! Very decent start. Good eurobeat tunes playing in the background, really cool display of driving skills (not only Kanata's) during the qualifiers. Seeing Takumi again, just in the second season, was as much nostalgic as in Season 1. Zero-counter steer drift on the road covered in volcanic ash was epic. I can't wait to see the actual Lake Ashinoko GT race with all drivers who have qualified. I enjoyed OP and ED. Awesome songs and visuals. :) |
