I was not expecting the casino games in the season finale. It was odd but again, anything could happen in this show.

Nikola got scolded, which is kinda like a recurring trend in this show now. Luckily, this episode still had its classic adventure vibes in the second half. Even Akira is here too. Decent finale with a variety of emotions imo.

Haga and Kinoshita dealing with the raid boss of goat Silence, as well as Amano sacrificing his organs repay Akane's massive debt with Texas Hold'Em poker.

Nikola continues her confinement under Alba's rule, while Haga and Kinoshita think of ways to defeat the goat in the many books of the library, and Amano is doing well against The Diamond's poker AI to earn 2k worth of coins to save both himself and Akane, though going at it for hours on end until he reaches the goal, by hook or by crook that the bugged game allows him to cheat his way and win fast having more than the usual deck of cards. But one wrong hand, and Amano found himself losing a game...and Haga just casually coming into The Diamond to report a bug, that's his usual shtick.

With Tesla asleep, both Alba and Ren can manipulate the situation to be at Nikola's disadvantage, telling her that she's not deemed enough to follow Haga and become a King's Seeker just like him. But with no one nor home to return to, she can only rely on Grandma Douka's lunchbox for the long journey back. Meanwhile, back at the Diamond, Haga and the others being chased by the AI-turned-werewolves and a Cerberus, he got lucky with a fair few leather books that didn't produce sound and are bugged, thus saving them from any sound effects, which Silence decimates their enemies in one fell swoop, plus with Kinoshita's interference to slain the goat's fingers and render it dead with the cage above it.

Nikola disbelieving Ren's claims that Haga abandoned her, and Silence having a 2nd form definitely catching the latter and the gang off guard...
...will the anime continue the story from the manga? There's still a lot of content left to adapt.

This show overall feels mediocre, though it has a unique charm to it, that sadly is weighed down by its story elements.

The End.

This was one of those shows with an interesting concept and potential to be something good, but the average writing partially ruined everything.

And the whole thing with Amano and Ruu was handled badly. Also, Gaydle's death came out of nowhere. Those three characters deserved better.

Anyway, I liked Nikola, Haga, and Amano. They were a decent main trio.

Well, let's wait for the second season?

This finale just felt a bit weak and rushed,Amano and Ruu sub plot just felt rushed as well. I know they hinted at a second season at the end but personally am not so sure it will get one.

This seriously feels like the episode before the final episode of a season.

As a gamer and a mature programmer I loved the concept well enough, but this series seems to suffer from mediocre writing and then ending the season like that without a second season already approved may have just killed it.

The whole Gaydal thing isn’t up to snuff for a season finale, but it would have been a better stopping point than right as a raid boss they thought they beat revives.

Wishfully hoping for a season 2, but…

You can't just end the show like this! it is like they needed one more episode, I liked this show a lot, it is one of those rare cases where the video game world makes some sense of how games really work and interact. Nikola acute, I'm going to miss it.

I have to commend the anime staff because the finale managed to combine the latter half of volume five with the two Nikola chapters from volume six in a really cool and smooth way. For some reason that I really can't explain I was also quite impressed with the scene where Silence gorily smashed the werevoles and the ''cerberus'' monster to bits. Maybe it's because it was arguably the best animated scene in the whole season?

Will a second season of KonoFuka materialize in the future? Who knows, but I sure hope so.

Hooray for bugs and glitches to exploit.
I like how Haga just walked in there so casually while writing down bugs to report, that is so him.
Great plan Haga came up with to defeat Silence, well at least they thought they did.
I enjoyed this series from start to finish and would definitely watch a 2nd season if they get one.
8/10

I thought this show had a lot of promise at the beginning, and found the idea of a show centered around the idea of exploring a world and fixing the bugs in it to be fascinating. There were some interesting plot points as we went along, but it feels like the show fizzled out towards the end. As someone who enjoys Isekai I was really hoping to like this one. And while there were elements I liked, I can't say its one of may favorites unfortunately.

Haga saving the gang in the casino did feel like a Deus Ex Machina resolution to that plot, but then again there were more interesting things in the story worth getting into so I can understand doing that so we could move on.

Nikola picked an interesting time to turn back, though; not much you can do in 2 and a half minutes... especially when half of that is the credits

Dang, I can't believe that's how the season ended. I mean, I get wanting a hook for the next season, but there's a difference between ending the season at a good stopping point and in the middle of a narrative

Definitely a mid tier show, had high hopes but honestly I'm doubtful a season 2 will manifest. While I enjoyed the story, it isn't five star material. That said, I'm glad I saw t through, there definitely were strong points and that made the story worth watching once though; if only they chose a better ending point, then my opinion of the show would be higher.

One more Summer 2024 show complete; and one step closer to the fall season

Seems like this first anime season covers the first 5 volumes of the manga. Seeing how the manga has 13 volumes at the time of writing this message, there's a possibility of a second season.

You always have to be weary of phase twos with bosses, especially if they're one of the final ones!!!

I'll miss this show. I enjoyed following the misadventures of this cast, and am left thinking about all the wild glitches the people they interacted with endured. Definitely a very good rendition of the "Death Game" genre.

I. Need. More. Episodes.
There is no way this shit ended here

Hope s2 announced soon.
Overall it has meh story but that not the aspect they really wanted to show off. It's the 'bug/glitch in the game and how Haga exploited it without using cheat' aspect they wanted to show off, quite specific but they did decent job there in my opinion.

Quite similar with Gurazeni on 'live of average pro' situation, but have some storyboard to follow instead of episodic style.

That why this anime has it own charm and felt different with other fantasy/medieval anime this season, i loved it.

7/10. 8/10 if the cliffhanger ending isnt here.

Hahaha, Casino cheating was so unexpected (sarcasm). I know they had no choice but to gamble, but playing with a computer when it comes to gambling is waaay dumber than playing vs a human dealer. Both can cheat but I suppose AI can get whatever card it needs so odds of you losing is pretty much guaranteed.

Took Nikola a while to realize Haga wouldn't have abandoned her, especially without even seeing her first.

This was an enjoyable show, but that ending is brutal. Such cliffhanger and they have the audacity to say "to be continued?" lol? If this doesn't get continued I'll leave it at 7/10.

2nd phase boss, I don't know how they expect to win. Usually 2nd phase is even deadlier. 1 way I think of them beating it is if Nikola uses her OP skull-beam thing, but it should take her a lot of time to get there.

Can't wait to see how Alba and Ren will be punished. As it appears, Kinoshita was banished by them to the 1000th floor too.

KonoFuka doesn't really have any traditional story breaks or intermissions so even if the anime ran for another couple of episodes the finale would still conclude with a quasi-cliffhanger scene.

8/10 was one of my favorite. The premise was pretty interesting, and lots of interesting moments, interesting monster designs. I really liked 1,2,3 episodes and 11,12. Everything else was pretty average and the small giant arc was pretty bad, not sure why it even existed. I think it's been getting more and more interesting near the end and in the (potentially?) next season we'll have a banger. Will probably read manga in the near future, cause I'm interested in what happens next and to see if the adaptation was faithful/what was skipped.

As for the episode, it was pretty great. Haga carried hard with his debugging brain, getting to the idea of using books as noise cancelation was brillaint, saving everyone from getting their organs harvested. And I wondered how would they escape that predicament. Also the fight at the end was pretty good with the boss, severing his fingers. Kinoshita reuniting with others.
My favorite part was Amano poker though. Not gonna lie I got pretty salty just watching the games. gettign a straight flush was bull :D

So there's literally no prize/reward in that library for beating silence?

And why did they even have to kill the first silence? They already found out how to get past it safely.

The second silence is some weird ass, headless, crab walking, giant penis monster? Wtf

(if the game were being played properly, it would've been the first silence, right? But since they started at the bottom and are worrying up, everything is backwards? )

The fuck you mean "To be continued?". You really just made this anime and all to cut the plot in half and likely not even make a 2nd season because it certainly fucking sucked? I hope that there is a 2nd season, not because I really liked this one too much, but because leaving it halfway like this feels like a bad blueball move.
Pretend there's something flashy and cool here.

@Avvenirista They started in the library that you enter after beating silence. They are going backwards through the maze/labyrinth, from the very end (1,000th floor) to the very beginning (1st floor)

Huh? That doesn't change the fact that Silence is a two phase boss so there's no ''first Silence'', only one Silence that must be cleared in full to liberate the main hall, because you obviously can't move around with a constantly aggressive boss like that like that occupying the area.
And yes, there are multiple rewards for the players that manage to go past Silence (library full of flavor text books, casino and something else that didn't make it in the anime).
