| Glad this episode went back to the root of the franchise, after so much drama and focus between Shidou/Mio. They even bought back dating sim elements with the multiple choices! Having a date with Reine was awkward though. Compared to the others, she is more mature but also kinda cold in terms of personality. Honestly, they had a rather normal date, nothing groundbreaking but just a normal date. |

| It's time for a date. Shidou returns from the future and asks Reine out on a date, to which she readily agrees. To keep Reine in the dark, Shidou uses Maria to relay information about the future battle to Kotori, revealing that all the spirits die. They decide to inform the other spirits, but they discover that Origami has bugged most of Shidou's clothes with listening devices, so the spirits are already aware. After hearing the story from Shidou, Kotori and the spirits support their date. Oof, hearing that Kurumi theme again—it's been a while, and it still never gets old. But to think, if you had told me back in season one that Shidou and Kurumi would have such a close bond in this final season, I would've laughed at you. Yet here we are. What a blast from the past, seeing those date choices again—it's been a while. Anyway, everyone on Fraxinus freaked out the moment they saw Reine naked, lols. Though other than that, pretty sweet date ngl. The date was pretty successful... all that's left is to seal those powers with a kiss... |

| I'm glad this episode went back to date a lives route's even if its the last time. Cause honestly no matter how in depth the story is or whatever at its heart date a live is literally just a dating simulator anime. The comedy this episode was great. Really reminded me of why I liked Miku so much. So this is just a theory on my part, I haven't read the light novel but have been spoiled on a few plot points But that's just a theory I came up with. Still curious why Mio's main half is hiding inside Kurumi of all people. |
| Origami going "it should've been me" at the bath house option vote lmao Man, kudos to the animators for nailing the shore reveal at the end. The warm color pallette and gentle music packed a hell of a nostalgic punch for something we saw just a few episodes ago. |

| Few years ago I wouldn't have believed that a DAL episode was this gently paced and allowed you to get into the scenario without being thrown hundred shenanigans altogether. But this time, this season, has showed they always had it with them. This volume goes bonkers, so can't wait for the escalation of events. Perhaps the best representation of Reine in the series, further boosted by our mother-specialist voice actor Aya Endou. We caught snips of Shido's abandonment issues too, giving more credence to why he empathized with Mukuro so much. I felt eyepatch Kurumi needs a slightly different theme instead of the usual one. The ending beach sunset animation was sublime, one of the most powerful moments in the franchise.  |

| Another episode of peak! Been looking forward to this episode all week. Date a Live V has just been amazing so far and this episode is no different. Reine and Shido date was so cute and Reine looked absolutely stunning. I’m so weak for her design.. and she’s had to suffer in silence for so long, she’s the one who needs hugs and headpats. Felt nostalgic seeing us go back to the date simulator format with the girls voting on Shido’s answers. Feels like it’s been forever since we’ve seen that and this’ll probably be the last time 😢 We were robbed of Reine booba during the bath scene but I’m more than ok because of how wholesome a moment that was. Very important that Shido let Reine know he didn’t regret being “abandoned” and that he knows his “mother” did what she did out of love. That hug was as much for her as for him. Wescott taking the fight to Shido and the gang this time around gives off heavy avengers endgame vibes. But now that Kurumi’s been warned, let’s see what she can cook up with prep time. Can’t wait for next episode! |

| I still find this show ridiculous, but I'd be lying if it wasn't entertaining. Hmm, I wonder if best girl kurumi is going to do something given her new knowledge but beelzebub is already in play. Shido needs to seal her powers but she already knows about that right? That's going to take a lot of "convincing". |

| So Shido is basically going on a date with his mother now, also Reine was kinda baffled at Shido for going on a date with her. Meanwhile Westcott pretty much knows what happened thanks to Beelzebub and now he is planning something major. |

| Now we have perhaps Shidou's most important date of the series, with Reine - the other half of Mio, all without having her realize that Shidou is being guided by Ratatoskr. This episode was a throwback to the earlier seasons where Shidou goes on a date with the spirit Ratatoskr is trying to seal, in order to stabilize their powers, including the having the crew members vote on Shidou's answer options. We also got some Reine fanservice and a tribute to Shin's original date with Mio, by bringing Reine back to the beach where they had ended their first date on. |
| Curse them for cutting that one scene. Still, a date with Reine was long overdue, so glad we checked this one thing finally off the books. Not counting Westcott in all of this was pretty careless. |
| Back to the roots and how it all began. A classic date with the help of others and there gotta be that one pervy option. That was fun and Reine best girl. She's so beautiful. Loved watching them together. Love her and hope they find a way for all of them to live happily together with Shido. Also ofc that piece of shit is gonna try to make a mess again. |

| Shido wanting a date with Reine, his one and only final chance to make things right, it's the most important date that will determine their future. The pre-war against DEM, plus Reine's date in the midst, everyone agrees to help out, even Kurumi, whom Shido chooses to reveal to the clone of the future foretold before his very eyes. Onto the date, and this is a date that Shido cannot screw up, not in the slightest. The classic DAL route brought back with all of the future known, even the analysis of the multiple-choice questions and answers, all of them are crucial at this stage. To win Reine's heart, it's not easy trying to seal her, but thanks to the Spirits jugging up a hot spring date knowing that Reine works day and night to revive Shin, they give her what is duly needed: relaxation. But having to almost see her naked, it's even more surprising for Kannazaki being calm and not having an interest in big boobs. But still, it's the best choice for both Shido and Reine to talk to and about each other, though Reine can be affectionately seen as a mother figure, not an actual partner of sorts. Of course, Westcott was not calculated into this new future, which he still has the power to change it for another round. The ED visuals have been teasing for the beach moment between Shido and Reine/Mio, will he be able to seal her with a kiss? |

But we have best sister Kotori, Kotori understands. Get Kotori in, and everybody else joins in for the ride. Spirits really are understanding, have to respect them. The best wingwomen in town, can't go wrong. And I get the one piece of mine that a Kurumi knows she's going to give birth to the anti-spirit. Bless Kurumi, forever living in my heart. The first nostalgic episode I've seen in a while where DAL goes back to the format of Shido's dates with a spirit in order to seal away their powers, backed by the entire crew on Fraxinus. I just love the Miku reaction with Yoshino and Natsumi looking being like wtf. Shido takes Reine on her ideal date, one that involves relaxation at the hot springs, and very reminiscent of Shin's first date with Mio, where he takes her along the beachside.  |
