This waterfall. I have an even more stunning photograph I took of it last summer, when I visited. A thing of total chance, by weather and weathering and time. In the grand scheme of things, it will only be around for some tens of thousands of years, a paltry sum compared to the life of our world, and we get to experience it. It's so flush and lively, the mist encircles you and the sights steal you away from anything in your mind, if only for a moment. Little before has anything had such an effect on me, and for that I'm so so grateful. |
