| The opening is a straight banger. Good start as expected. Seeing all these execution methods made me think of Human Bug Daigaku. In fact, the setting along with various other elements gave me all kind of vibes from Naruto, Samurai Executioner and Blade of the Immortal. Consider me hooked. |

| I liked this episode. Seems like a pretty interesting shonen. Gabimaru seems like a cool character. Sagiri is great as well. Let's see how this series develops. |

| God Bless the MAPPA animators because this looks amazing. So Gabimaru was recruited by Sagiri after questioning him during his various executions when he was captured by the Magistrate. Turns out that Sagiri is an executioner from Edo that is tasked with finding talented warriors that will go on an expedition requested by the Shogonate to a remote Japanese island that is said to have the elixir of eternal life. That island is said to be known as Paradise where pirates and criminals take refuge to avoid being captured by the samurai government officials. If the expedition is a success, then Gabimaru will be pardoned by the Shogonate and he can be reunited with his wife who is waiting for him. Overall the first episode is really good and has lived up to expectations as one the highly anticipated series of Spring 2023 so far. |

| Have to say that was one hell of a way to show which studio created this. Or get a larger sword and someone that knows it effectively lol. The insight into the types of executions though was quite insightful. The local lord sure had a rough time watching his plans fail. For the chief of the ninja village to have such a normal daughter is indeed surprising. Despite the branding Gabimaru's wife's attempt to live a normal life really was impressive. A boat of flowerbeds seeded with the delimbed parts of the search party sure was a terrifying thing to come across late at night. Overall a pretty strong opening ep that did well to intrduce the two main leads of Gabimaru and Sagiri. Pretty good ending theme as well. |

| nothing mind blowing but pretty great nonetheless. it looks promising. the goal is set and the reason for it is set. MC is OP as well. should make up for great fight scenes in future. the ninjutsu looked really great to see visually. surprised that this is only 12 episodes though. i thought it would be 24 but oh well. bruh the bull execution though💀💀💀 who tf thought that up. no one deserves to go like that fuck |

| The manga was great, so I'm expecting the anime to be even better. Firstly, the opening visuals perfectly displayed various characters and events which will happen sooner or later and it brought back so many manga events that I still remember. Oh boy, it's going to be so fucking amazing with a studio like MAPPA behind it. The color design are one of best when we arrive at "Paradise". We're in for a dangerous ride together with Gabimaru and Sagiri. They're voice actors Chiaki Kobayashi and Yumiri Hanomori fit them PERFECTLY. Jigokuraku is listed at 13 episodes, but I don't think it's possible to animate it completely, so a second season is to be expected (leaks said to be 2 cours, sadly not). Anyway, a great first episode setting everything up for the main story. |

| Holy alright, this was actually an amazing first episode for one. True that i had low expectations cause i've been hearing rumors and whatnot abt the production of this anime but heh. Garan no Gabimaru you are one heckuva of a fella if you're that op XD and Sagiri is as i expected as ever cause i'm a manga reader and allat, also that OP visual/song slapped too hard alr for the first time hearing it. Overall :D episode. |

| Heard lots of thing about this show, supposed to be next big entry in shonen. Interesting whole premise/setting & Visuals looks cool but just decent debut episode . Though it obviously will gonna get good as series progress. P.S. :- OP Slaps. |

| Okay, this is good. No, great! Setting, animation, Op, main character, his desire to live, his ninjutsu and his inability to die under conventional means, that's a lot to unwind in the first episode here, but it's full of positives to date. I heard the manga recently ended, so a complete adaption has got to happen, ffs. And both he and his wife better be okay too. Gee, some of those corpses from the mysterious island though. No idea what the heck it could be but I'm excited to find out! Shogunate seems like a big arsehole too, I wonder if the endgame will feature him as the main antagonist or something? Promising start here, here's to hoping this'll remain just as good until the end. |

| I'm not one to follow Season anime, only with some exceptions. I read the manga recently, so like many, I'm waiting for a lot of things and introduction of some characters. I'm not a critic so I won't say anything "bad" for now, I want to be a simple spectator. I haven't seen the Opening Theme and Ending Theme subtitled yet but I loved both. |

I am huge fan of Jigokuraku, I was kinda nervous about tye adaptation, i know studios can ruined good animes but i have no trust issues with Mappa and now finally its here Its a good sign that so far they following the manga. I hope they don't skip The ep start same as the manga I have something to complain about but its good thing that its at least getting an adaptation so complaining will be a loss So best of luck Mappa dont disappoint me. |

| The premise feels like a japanese modernized version of the Divine Comedy, artistically this "heavenly hell" looks really appealing and seems like Mappa gave the budget for this Might have AOTS potential since its adapting a completed manga (so full adaptation maybe? ) but i won't go over the top yet, High Card last season had a great pilot then went bad really fast. Opening is nice, ending is okay, season's starting strong with this and Mix s2 |

| Ok, so a basic shonen start but the MC is married already, it's fine. This looks MAPPA ugly, but it was exactly what I was expecting from them. I have seen this series being compared to Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen a lot and it is animated by the same studio, so I'm kinda worried, is this one actually good? Because those last two weren't. |
