| And we wrap up the season with an actually good swordfight with very few stakes, not one but two screams, a lookback at some relegated characters and the revelation that Cid/Shadow now has a harem of at least 666 chicks basically. Why am I not surprised. In any case, was the show as good as it was portrayed by its premise, fans and reception? To me, no. Most of the time I couldn't follow the general plot nor care about it due to Shadow's overwhelming power and sheinanigans. His presence contributed to make serious scenes funny but at the same time destoyed any possibility of serious analysis at the worldbuilding. It felt like it didn't even matter and that every woman on the cast was just there to fall for him in one way or another. Classic trope, but unoriginal as well. The animation was that great either. A dark pallet seems appropiate for a show like this, the overall effects left much to be desired. Meanwhile, Moonlight sonata and the opening song might the only parts of the soundtrack I remember, honestly. Overall, if you aren't a fan of iseakis nor edgy shows, there isn't much here worth of the 20 episodes watch. You can find clips somewhere and watch those instead. |

| He literally was playing around with fking Crowbars and then was about to Do I.....Am......Atomic but then just cancelled it. |

| Incredible final episode, the fight was great, Shadow's jihad bluff was beautiful as well. Their training camp being shown at the end was cool as well. The entire show was pretty good but this was the cherry on top. I loved how he brought back the crow bars during the fight SOLID 9/10 |

| This final fight was so different compared to what it was in the LN. In the LN the whole fight takes place in the stadium and is much shorter, I think only Beatrix fights Shadow and Iris wasn't together with her. Also the anime added that Sherry original scene which was so great cause she quite literally disappears in the LN after volume 1. |

Ofc I want to slap all of em side characters and say wake the f up. Even shows with low budget animation are more watchable and entertaining than this crap.Don't know what people find in this show... What started off as an isekai parody has turned out to be one of the genuinely best isekai you'll ever see.whether not i fully understand the story isn't the point the point is its still a very safe/no risk "Kirito clone" "no one can touch us" "all my enemies are dumb and the ones that aren't i can still one shot if i want to" "girls can't die" "generic medievelish setting" anime i like risk/unsafe/things that people will find offensive and i guess as well im just done with Kirito clone isekai, hype wise i like to see characters have to work for the win even if the story is actually on some galaxy brain shit, that won't save it for me |

| What a finale. Even Iris and Beatrix teaming up were not enough to stop Shadow. Seeing him use the crowbars was wild. And, now that Rose joined Shadow Garden, her name was even changed from the credit which was a nice touch. Now we just have to wait for a second season, Hopefully, it doesn't take long. |

| It's kinda rare to see an anime outdo the LN like this. This final episode had a lot of original content, but they managed to include it without affecting the general plot of the LN, while making the show look more spectacular. Props to the entire anime team. There would be a lot more awesome anime if all studios adapt the popular light novels faithfully without skipping many chapters like this one or 86 for example. Anyway, I had a lot of fun watching this anime and reading the LN. Hopefully, we'll get a 2nd season in the future. |

| Man, that was awesome! Shadow overpowering Iris and Beatrix was so fun to watch, starting with Shadow mocking Iris for using an artifact xD. Such a great spectacle of a fight. Iris' cry was so powerful, Hikasa Youko never ceases to amaze me. And poor Rose, it seems she didn't realize she had to say goodbye to everything, including Cid. I would like to think that she will learn the truth sooner rather than later. Speaking of Rose, it's funny how we can see her as a member of Shadow Garden from the very first episode along with the 2 new girls. But since she has short hair and only appears for a couple of seconds, it's easy to forget. I only went back and checked it out after reading other comments haha. By the way, was that Miyu Tomita voicing one of the new girls? Nice. Nice to see Sherry again but Jesus Christ, I think she may need some help... This was such a great show, I had so much fun with it. I'm really going to miss Cid and the girls. Season 2 please! |
