| I only have seven full 10/10s for series out of 180 completed and rated series so far, which I would say I do not consider undeserved or overly generous. Out of the seven, only 1 do I consider objectively perfect to the extent that a fallible, mortal creature like a human being can be objective about any topic in all of existence. 3 I consider not technically perfect, but perfect "enough" to be functionally perfect in practice to me. And 3 I consider neither perfect objectively nor to me, but still masterpieces. |

| If I really liked something I'm not afraid of giving it a 10. But I haven't given many though: 16/258 that's 6% and 4 of them are for 2nd seasons of the same show or Wolf's Rain's OVA that is actually the last episodes of the show. |

| Tbf I'm pretty generous. For example I gave a 10 to Odd Taxi just bcs I've enjoyed it so much i can't help myself but giving that 10 to the anime lol. Each person has their own way to rate things and for me the most important thing for an anime is if I've enjoyed it. Simple as that. So 10s are common in my list. I've checked my list and I have 28 10s of 159, and a bunch of 9s. |

| 1/10 - some character did something I thought was so horrible I had to force myself to finish it 2/10 - dropped before finishing first episode (haven't used and probably won't since I don't add it when I drop before any episode finishes) 3/10 - dropped after first episode 4/10 - multiple characters pissed me off enough 5/10 - single character pissed me off enough 6/10 - execution was bad 7/10 - execution was alright but never fully shined 8/10 - fully shined at least once 9/10 - consistently excellent almost the entire anime 10/10 - entire anime was excellent (has to clear all the hurdles) |

| In recent times 1-2 10/10 out of 40-60 anime per year, much more generous than a lot of people with a mean score higher than mine. 10 just means than I like it more than a 9 and I want to fully use the rating system, which is often said to encourage people to give scores below 6 but I think that it also means using 9s and 10s effectively. |

| I haven't watched an anime that was worth a 10 in a very long time. I don't mean it from a technical point of view, but what makes a 10 for me is an emotional connection as well as being a great anime. I've become quite jaded towards the medium in recent years, but I wouldn't mind dishing out 8s or 9s. |

| I rate mostly on enjoyment and I am generous with 8s and maybe also 9s, but I haven't given anything a 10 in years. Honestly half of my 10s are from the time when anime was new to me and everything was a novelty, I probably wouldn't rate some of those shows 10s if I watched them now. |
I am the most strict person on the planet when it comes to rating 10/10s. Only the best of the best, the most pristine and elite are worthy of getting a 10 on my list. π€     (but for real, taking ratings too seriously is a drag and pretty much useless) 7.5/10 thread |

| Well, for starters I don't think a show has to be "much perfect, so flawless wow" to be deseving of getting a 10 from me, I could tell you negative things about all my 10s. In the other hand, I don't actually have that many 10s, 17 atm. |

Short answer: it doesn't really matter Longer answer: 10s in their truest sense should be (and are) based on the criteria that the rater assigns them. So it doesn't really matter who is what, and rather, you can inquire their strategies for giving out 10s if you're interested. I think that would make for a much more interesting thread. |

I was already planning on watching Ghost In The Shell and Akira. just because I've mainly seen shounen doesn't mean that is what can only appeal to me.
