Classical.
How you can fight/hope to go in a place where 95% of the mangas are already out for more than a year ?
You can't hope newcomers to have a good place in polls. -_-

Predictable. It’s kind of funny to see people say it’s a shame because it had so much potential. We must’ve read something different.

Bland characters, subpar storyboarding and storytelling, dreadful training arc at the start of the story, massive lore drop out of nowhere.

Mangas with no fanbase will most likely get axed (nowadays), it's tough for them.
A new manga from the author of Hell's Paradise will begin soon and it already has a decent fanbase so even if it's an average manga, the fans will most likely keep it alive.
Rip Red Hood, it had one some thicc female character designs.

This serious just felt like another demon slayer but with werewolfs and whatnot. I feel like shouen series has gotten too much into monster slaying premises a little too much.
How I love a game

Elusive Samurai is coming from the mangaka behind Assassination Classroom.
It's not a newcomer. :)
Blue Box, anyways, is great because we need more stuff like love story.

Yeah, a combination of sports and romance is quite odd but a welcomed one.

Clearly it's odd from the WSJ.
It's why it's so great.
Generally when you have a sport manga (Haikyuu, Kuroro no Basket, etc), it's only to focus on nakama/nekketsu power.

Even CBR are talking about it...

I won't lie, by the time I read the first chapter and second chapter I could already tell it wasn't going to go very far because it didn't have that charisma and impact like Monsters No. 8 and Dandadan had when they started.

Today the audience no longer wants anything complex or full of Plot, they want something more direct, quick and fun. Things that this manga did not demonstrate.

It's a shame, the story is very interesting and the lore is well developed.

This is not true, Monster 8 and Dandadan were released this year and are seeing a lot. Soon people want something faster and more fun rather than something more developed.

I really enjoyed it until they started that exam arc. Then it just got more and more mediocre until they shifted gears into that ridiculous wannabe mindblowing twist and then it lost me completely. I'm glad it's over, because I'd probably drop it anyway

You can tell that the work has no fan base when people on Myanimelist are not even commenting or talking about it.

They're all: "It had potential, too bad, next manga please".

It is a shame, me personally I was enjoying the world and the art style of this series. Would've rather seen Me & Roboco, High School Family, or The Elusive Samurai get axed instead. I thought this series was unique and is definitely better then all three of those series.

Pretty sure you haven't gone past chapter 2 of Elusive Samuri to make this comment. Red Hood was mediocre at best. The artwork wasn't that great either.

On a site where you can see that I'm up to date on the manga. Its pretty hilarious of you to make this claim. Look I respect your opinion. Its ok for you to really like something. However I do not feel the same way.

Welp it has to much potential.... sad to see it getting axed. It has Demon slayer vibes set in medieval west. I hope to see Red Hood again in different publishers.

Yes... its has so much potential. Welp... its not popular in japan except outside. The don't care about out side. If you're doing poorly in japan then you're bound to be axed(depending in publishers)
Its seems like it got pressured by the editor because of their absurd expectations since the one shot is doing well just like Bleach.
I have a hunch that Red Hood might make a Come Back seing the Authors comments.(it didn't. 2023)

Idk about all the 'so much potential' posters, but i feel it got axed rightfully.
The art was quite below average, some backgrounds were nice, but more often than not backgrounds were missing. The monsters of the first 5 chapters were really weird drawn, i had to squint hard at some panels to make sense out of them. Fighting scenes / sequences were also not so great.
Despite that i still had fun reading the first chapters until training started. That was bland and boring as hell. And at last the meta bs felt quite immature.
Like fix your art & storytelling first before blaming the readers for not liking your manga...
I'm not reading any replies or comments directed at me at all. I know my truth and if you disagree: that's fine but i couldn't give a damn about :)
