My money's on the first prince Jeffrey or something. His hair is similar to Rufus, and if it gets out Ian and/or his fiancée tried to kidnap Geordo's fiancée and force him to give up his claims, then there's only one beneficiary.

Only Catarina could ever forget about being kidnapped so quickly.

I really didn't expect Selena to be involved with this kidnapping but I did feel myself sympathising with her in this episode.

Caterina being Caterina naturally becomes friends with her kidnappers. Let's see if she can win over "Sebastian" in the next episode.

Alan really is an honest guy confessing to Mary like that. Mary annoyance at how serious Alan is was funny.

Hm.. Well.. The obvious answer, who would want for Prince to not inherit the throne.. Someone else, who is younger brother, or person who would inherit it instead.. So this brother's "help" might not necessary be help.. But who knows.. He might not be the only other candidate.. I have no idea, what is the family situation in the Royal Family..
Catarina is very kind towards that girl.. Well, she also is partially manipulated by that mage, it seems.. Like we all can have some doubts.. But to actually do some bad thing - maybe she wouldn't if not the dark magic influence.. But who knows..

I ADORE that Mary and Alan are being honest about their feelings and intentions. It's a breath of fresh air to see characters behaving somewhat rationally.

tldr;
i'm just now realizing the outro makes it look like the only serious love interests from here on out are officially the dude characters... and i'm so disappointed...
i'll continue to watch the show all the way through in hopes i'm wrong, but i'm much less invested now that it seems ALL and ONLY the girls might have been taken out of the race

it's only now that i have a sinking feeling that the potenial GL ships were bait in season 1.
it appears they are not being taken seriously as equal love interests for Katarina anymore, which as a bi romantic person was my main reason for watching and enjoying the show
i only just paid attention to the season 2 outro and idk how to put it... but the outro is clearly focusing more on the men:

-Katarina in contemplation while only the main boys spin around her
-the men getting longer and individual full page/panels during the chorus instead of sharing a side scrolling panel like the girls got (which included Maid Anna? who isn't part of the harem?)

are the girl characters getting demoted to a sisterly love like Anna has for Katarina? or is their love exclulsively for comedic effect now?
like "haha silly Mary! she sure is aggressive with her Gay™! .... anyways back to the *real* love interests ♂💕"

side tanget, but i was also hopeful that the series played more into showing ALL the characters in various pairings with one another
during the boat episode in season 1, i thought like the series might be toying with the idea of various pairing options. and seeing Geordo and Keith constantly at odds felt like the show was winking at the audience. like "ooh that tension 👀 what if tho? lol ;)" and i really loved that! i was like "yay! everybody can be bi! it's a free for all!" like it was not only about seeing how well these various trope characters have potential and believable chemistry with Katarina, but through their competition, getting how those topes might mesh with each other. but like.... romantically lol
mostly just ship fodder for the audience to enjoy. as a treat 🍬

either way, i never had an issue if Katarina ended up with any of the men in the end bc... i'm bi, duh. that was always an option. but i really only got into this series because it had me excited that everyone was equal game! but with the direction it seems to be going in, i get the feeling ALL the girls have been demoted to side characters equal to Anna. i get that 7 love interests is alot to manage equally, and that maybe narrowing down to the stronger ships would be better for the series to focus on. but how come it the only ones out of the race are ALL the ladies??? during season 1, they really had me thinking Katarina and Maria were gonna be endgame. and i'm so sad that it could be going beyond that and removing her and the rest of the girls from Katarina's romance pool....

i'm just so bummed. tired of seeing GL be exclusively a joke or an unrequitted fling in mainstream non-yuri focused romance, and this series is one of the first i've seen appear to give the same sex characters just as much an equal shot as the opposite sex characters. removing them as equally legitimate love interests would reveal this show had planned to capitalize on content hungry LGBT's while intending to adhere to the hetero status quo. you aimed for a target audience's attention and now that they've invested this far, your gonna reveal you were always wasting that target audience's time? :,(
