I saw that you are watching the anime: Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou and since I just watched it I have some things to say about it (NO SPOILERS) 😋
This anime has one of the best couples in a shoujo anime that I have ever watched and even though it is a shoujo anime it does not have a love triangle which is VERY RARE, they are very cute and fun to follow. The secondary characters are good too, there are no annoying or irritating characters like in some animes. One of the weak points of this anime is the ANIMATION which from a score of 0 to 10 I would rate as 4 and I am being nice you know... there is an episode that has no animation at all ONLY STATIC FRAMES! LOL

And look, this anime was made by the same studio and director who made Neon Genisis Evangelion.

The story is good, nothing surprising but it is good!

The worst part of the anime is definitely the ending, which I'll say right away is open-ended (unfortunately). I won't say much more so as not to give spoilers, but the last 3 episodes are horrible and are just for the sake of it! What I liked most about the anime was following the main couple. They both have problems, but after they get to know each other, they end up accepting themselves, and that's really, really cool, I think. I hope you like it!

SPOILER ALERT

I just forgot to mention that this couple is not as frivolous as many we've seen in anime. They hold hands, go on dates and even kiss and have sex... at the end of the series.
