| In light of all the recent posts in this thread as well as many others, I'd recommend for everyone to read the DB guidelines if you haven't yet, as many of the series that have been requested will not be added to the database. Further, Sun and I will not be responding to any more "approve this series" threads for the time being. As Sun himself stated in his post, they do not make the approval process go any faster. Thank you for your understanding. |

| Not sure if this is the place to post this, but Majo no Eden is a series that was run through Ki-Oon's Series Originales program, which adapts works from other countries under their labels, although they also get published in their respective countries as well. Don't know what issue it was, but Majo runs in Harta as well. which is a Japanese Seinen magazine. The guidelines says that the Manga must be made by Japaneses for the Japanese market. Doubt it works in this case. Edit : If i remember correctly , it's not the first time Ki-Oon Originals gets refused due to that , as it happened multiple times with Beyond The Clouds. |

Manfra or French Manga is basically the second biggest market after Japanese manga so it makes no sense for it not to have entries for them here.. Radiant got one after its anime came out, didn't it? |

And not really. First , there isn't that much French Manga made to begin with. Second , it would be like saying "Cartoons are the second biggest market after Japanese animation , so add it to MAL". (We had it in simulcast , like most Animes , but the French Dub came out only 1 year after the airing , proof that it wasn't made for the French market at the very beginning of it.) I'd somewhat understand the argument of information being less available for the latter of the two, but the former is a manga written by Osamu Tezuka. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time it has happened this year. I have waited for a dozen of entries to be approved, with other listing sites having them all in their databases. Not to mention that a lot of those had official English releases, and were even listed on Goodreads, which is a site for tracking literature. |
