A dude told me it's like being yelled at by a prison inmate for an hour. I love em to death as well.

I used to listen to them ironically, but then I realized MC Ride is my true spirit animal.

Generic pick I know, but still my most favorite song from them:

@JudgeofJudges Just listened to it and wow it's actually really good lol. This sounds less experimental than most of their popular stuff, but in a good way. Love the creepy riff.

I listened to Money Store once but I never really got into em after that. Might try again tho depends on the mood I am in tho, feel like you have to be in the right zone to listen to their stuff. At least that's how I feel about it.

yea a lot of death grips fans are pretentious 12 year olds who have a superiority complex over everyone else because they think their taste is objectively better then others (while in reality their actual music knowledge doesn’t go past watching fantano videos), but there are a lot of really nice people ive met as well who are sadly overshadowed by this sizable portion of the fanbase

besides that my favorite death grips album is prolly yots, though jenny death and their collab with les claypool are also pretty good as well

the only thing i disagree with is that death grips fans are usually pretentious 17 year olds, but the rest of your statement is accurate

^ This.
Luckily the dude who showed them to me was probably kinda like this in the past but had evolved and matured past that by the time I met him. No Love Deep Web/Government Plates is peak DG for me, fav track is probably Come Up and Get Me. I love music where the musician(s) seem(s) totally free and unrestrained and Grips is one of the better examples of that, this is also a big factor as to why Animal Collective is my favorite group.

I listened to the first few tracks of their Money Store-Album but it only gave me headaches. Their music is way too exhausting to listen to.
And that comes from someone who counts The Residents and Teenage Jesus And The Jerks to his favourites.

I could certainly see that, from what I understand Zach Hill has worked with everyone under the moon. They definitely share that primal energy, specifically Avey Tare I could see vibing very well with Zach Hill and/or MC Ride, there'd probably be psychedelics involved

There are very few moments when I find their music appropriate to my current mood and what I am doing. I respect them though.

Sure, I have listened to the Money Store and Exmillitary. But because of my frequent headaches I can't really listen to them much.

There was an album of amvs made by a bunch of youtubers using The Money Store and some old OVAs. It is really good if anyone is interested.

Death Grips fanbase is legitimate cancer, though.
Go ahead, reply. I'm not going to read it.

Didn't care for them at first.

Eventually, I warmed up to them and now like quite a bit of their songs.
