| Enjoyment for the most part. I mean I always consider what I enjoyed about the art, animation, story, soundtrack etc. I am not coming up with an organized critique or review though. Overall feeling is more important to me. There are quite a few shows on my list that I feel shouldn't be as high as they are but enjoyment just wins out and rating them less than that just feels wrong. |

Cause yes you can complete 2900+ anime and still find SAO, Promised Neverland, Erased, Re:Zero, Death Note, Code Geass, Angel Beats, Shigatsu, Clannad, Akame ga Kill, etc amazing. In fact people who think those shows are bad probably haven't seen enough anime. Love using their points against them lol. I'll never conform to their sophist rhetoric and ideology. | I go by whether I enjoyed it or not. Unfortunately I've found that I'm only capable of giving either "I like it" or "I didn't like it" when I went through the ones I've finished. I'll get the hang of it eventually. |

| For me, there's no such thing as scoring based on either critique or enjoyment. They're one and the same. It's just that critics like going in-depth or in-detail about why specifically they might not enjoy a show. i.e. if they point out that a show's animation or writing is bad, it's because it hurts their enjoyment of the show. I've never heard of someone grading harshly for the sake of itself is what I'm saying. There's flawed but enjoyable shows sure, like High School of the Dead, or Charlotte, but very rarely do I "enjoy" these shows enough to just straight up ignore their flaws during grading. |

| Enjoyment, art style, how close I feel I got to the characters & how good the storyline was. There's no hard and fast rule for me, if I like an anime for whatever reason it'll get a good rating from me. Although I've noticed that I don't give many shows low ratings and I think that's because I research which shows I want to watch first, so when I watch a show it's likely it's a show that I'm going to enjoy so it will probably get a score of 6 or higher from me. Does anyone else give many shows ratings of 5 or lower? |

| Sometimes I count my enjoyment but most of the times even if I didn't enjoyed the show overall I give it a high score because it try to do/did something great. Recognize a shows strengths should be something everyone should do even if you didn't enjoy the show and vice versa is also true for me. |

| Anime: A combination. It's about 4/5 enjoyment and 1/5 the show's technical specs. Hentai: 100% enjoyment because the technical specs usually are terrible so it gets a handicap |
