So since Tamahiko is supposed to become the heir, the father called off his marriage with Yuzu (and didn't even bother to tell him in person / at all) and now forces Yuzu to marry that Tamao brat? He really treats her like property. What a disgusting man.

And now the way how Manabe Tamasuke acted towards Tamahikos father makes sense.

So Manabe Tamasuke, the brother of "Father Shima" was married. Manabe and that woman had a child, "Tamao".

Then Manabe and that woman divorced for whatever reasons and she remarried "Father Shima".
Then "Father Shima" and "Manabes ex-wife" had two children, "Tamahiko" (protagonist) and "Tamako".
What about the deceased son, "Tamaki"?
And where did "Tamayo" come from?

"Tamaki" held a grudge against "Tamahiko" out of unknown reasons.
"Tamayo" has a grudge against "Tamahiko" out of unknown reasons.
"Father Shima" sees his own son as worthless.
"Tamao" hates "Tamahiko" because his mother died while she was travelling with him.
"Mother Shima/Tamasuke" hates "Tamahiko" and "Tamako" because they aren't children she had with Manabe. So we can assume that she never really loved "Father Shima".

Oh, by the way, why do their names all sound so confusingly similar?

I have mixed feelings... This kind of development, I just don't like it, I guess...

The Earthquake arc though - It had me on the edge!

Didn't like:
1) all the edginess.
2) "Me" or "your mother" choice.
3) "Baiting" Yuzu to come out with a suicide attempt.
4) Actually going for a suicide.

Maybe the last one is too much of a personal thing, but I'm a vindictive man. If someone were to separate me from a precious loved one (or harm her), suicide would be the LAST thing to come to the mind. I'd rather dedicate my existence to making the lives of these terrible people MISERABLE!

Hence, this final volume is disappointing so far :(

Yeah, I also didn't like the baiting part. It's disturbing though.
