yup. I also heard that it was confirmed. I was wondering why no one was mentioning that in the other forum
I'm worried about not having a 4th season. Since WIT studio has done an amazing job I'm more worried about another studio picking it up and doing a shitty job at adapting the next arc. In that case, I really rather not have one at all. :'(

I pray to Fortuna that david pro will continue with jojo. Wit studio guys are out of their minds.

Jesus Christ if this is true please let it change to a good studio, I don't mind waiting another few years but if it ends up like OPM2 or something I'm gonna go jump off a bridge

Guys. Let's not saying "hope J.C Staff won't take over" because it sounds like actually giving an idea to them. So I'd prefer to say "I hope MAPPA or Production I.G will adapt the next season of aot." It sounds better that way and it's a positive affirmation so let's really hope the next studio will give us justice.

And here I was hoping the Production Committee would give Wit Studio some final leeway but guess not, sadly.

For Wit Studio, this may be a good thing so I’m a little relieved for them I suppose but I can’t help but fret over Season 4. If Production I.G. will not take the helm over the franchise, then Tetsurou Araki and possibly Sawano Hiroyuki may leave the team and I absolutely can’t stand that! Besides, the Wit Staff is excellent despite having time management issues and I’m a little worried that the other Studio, whichever picks this up, may not deliver what Wit Studio has been.

But well, this is business. I just pray that whatever is to come next for this franchise will be for the better.

That's sad. But if production IG takes it, there is no problem. Look at the animation of Suisei no Gargantia. It has very similiar animation.

without Sawano it just wouldn't be the same
the only replacement i could live with would be Yuki Kajiura, she is the only composer i'd tolerate as a replacement, but it still wouldn't be the same experience his music is beyond unique

I totally agree with you! Sawano Hiroyuki’s music is just the ideal music for this series, and I don’t think even the likes of Yuki Kajiura could cover that. I feel like their type of music differs too, someone else like Yuuki Hayashi might just do the trick but I don’t even want to think of such possibilities.

Sawano since he is a music composer is more easy to retain for Attack on Titan imo
what im worried about are the directors (series director, animation directors, chief animation director, episode directors) and the talented key animators leaving this show for good because of burnout

Yeah, that’s true.
But I don’t think it makes it a lot probable to retain him just for being a Music Composer, at least not to the point where we can honestly rest easy.

yep we need confirmation of that but i never heard of any news about anime music composers being overworked, underpaid and burnout so that is why i mentioned that

thats nice and its like better than buying the blurays since disc profits does not trickle down to increasing the animators salaries anyway

Wit is a pretty good studio, but not trustworthy anymore. They should've stuck to thier word and continue adapting this masterpiece to the end. I had my hopes in them. still it's not 100% confirmed, because they didn't annouce it, I hope they think through it twice before doing such a thing. I mean lots of studios are waiting for this moment to take and to continue Aot.

even if WIT stays to continue making this the talented staff that are mostly freelancers (like most in the anime industry are freelancers) are the ones that will likely quit for good like the director Araki

I'd be more than pleased with ufotable, I don't think IG will pick it up bcs WIT and IG are owned by the same person. MAPPA could also do a good j

Oh yes ufotable please. IG probably not bcs they are owned by the same person as WIT Studio, I highly doubt they'll pick it up.
MAPPA could be a good choice tho, they are a big studio, I think they could do a good job if they put enough human resources on it.

This is what I got from the title of this thread.
If it's a problem with the staff, can't they hire other people instead of handing the show to another studio?

i do not know how contract works but as the article pointed out Production IG which is a sister studio of WIT studio can continue Attack on Titan, WIT studio is like a very small studio anyway compared to Production IG
