14-28,is quite young to be Honest, mostly compared with the mangas magazines aimed at older adult like Big Comic Original or Weekly morning, but still way older than I expected, never heard of any adult reading light novel on trains in japan.

People reading manga on trains in Japan is only mentioned because in the West seeing someone reading comics on trains is unusual, meaning that some Westerners who go to Japan and see adults reading comics in public are shocked that they're doing it "quite openly without any sense of embarrassment"*. On the other hand someone reading a novel on a train would be completely unremarkable both in the West and in Japan.

They are a better version of western youth novels but actually fun and better written.

Next vol is series 10 anniversary. I feel proud to be part of Rokujouma fanbase even if I'm only in for the last 4 year.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

People openly reading comics in public happen pretty much anywhere, even here on my country sometimes I see people watching anime on cell phone or reading some manga on the trains,In south korea is also quite commom to see people reading webtoons in thier cellphones.

I can't speak for where you live, but I travel basically everywhere that's too far to walk by train, but could count the total number of times I've seen people other than myself reading manga on a train on one hand. I don't believe I've even once seen someone reading a western comic (if you exclude the comic strips in newspapers), and the general perception in this country is very much that they are something for kids.

On the other hand it's a rare journey indeed when there isn't at least one person reading a novel, be it in paper form or ebook. And your typical westerner would have no way of telling whether something is a regular novel or a light novel. Heck, your typical westerner doesn't even know that light novels exist - if they saw someone reading a light novel they would just see it as someone reading a novel. So, incidentally, would the overwhelming majority of people on MAL, unless they were familiar with the specific title and happened to get a glimpse of some artwork. Is it really a surprise if people don't comment on things that they aren't even aware of?
