The episode sums up everything I wrote just now and finally puts the right excuse to cement the friendship and give a goal, all as manual, nothing new under the sun as regards the plot. Excellent Ouji, finally stands out from the bottom more than the other characters. |

| Best episode so far. I also love the pacing. Kakeru can't express himself clearly. I got annoyed by that Sakaki kid but at least he triggered Kakeru. Prince was so cool in this episode!!! And also the twins lol. |

| Prince's manga MC heartfelt/inspiring speech was great xD as was his finish line moment HAHAHAHAHAHHH. Love him so much <3 whatta guy! I hope Kakeru learns to say what's on his mind by the end of this series ^^" I may get mad at him, but I'm not one to confront others either, ahhah. Too pacifist for that shit ;3 but when I really need to, I do step my foot down. And that's what he needs to learn to do. Haiji's straightforward and passionate eyes at the end <3333333 |

| The storyboarding & cinematography is so good, I really love the direction of this anime. The last few frames of Kakeru’s feet angled towards the team & walking towards them was so nicely done. I really feel for Kakeru. There’s something about his aloof & cold attitude that makes him seem so alone & dejected......I think he knows he’s not alone now. Great episode! Sakiki has a stick up his ass I swear. That was annoying when he wouldn’t leave them alone. Talk about extra! And Ōji steals the show as always. I love his facial expressions when he’s trying so hard while running lolollll they are drawn really realistic & funny at the same time. But after what he said, I find it admirable ;) |

| and there goes the first confrontation. i'd like to think there is more to Sakaki than simply be framed as an antagonist, but that's for later encounters. some of the cast are being sidelined to their assigned tropes, especially the twins, but princes gets his bite of that tasty character upgrade (his preach) and progression (beat his record). Jetstream Sam's shown some subtle hints of long-lost love for running, let's see more of that! |

| Everyone dunking on Sasaki but I'm sat here like "Yes you make a good point" These kind of "You can do it if you try" mangas/novels/animes really need to be taken with of salt. There'd be no way to beat people who literally trained their entire lives in just 10 months of training. |
