| for the last year i've been watching youtube videos at x2, x1.5 if it's really packed with info. it saves a lot of time, especially when for the past 2 years youtube was forced to switch to > 10 minutes format to benefit the algorithm i've tried to do the same thing with anime and stumbled upon a thought that it's kinda disrespectful towards countless people that produced the show frame by frame for a 25 minute episode to be glanced over in 10-12 minutes. you're basically saying "just hurry the fuck up and finish" i've done it multiple times and i'm sure you've done it too. if not by watching it on x2, then by skipping stuff with the right arrow (forward by 10 sec) every time something boring happens so is it a bad habit? are you supposed to watch through all of the shit patiently? what do you think? |

| Most of the anime I watch (a lot of adaptations) seems rushed, or otherwise has uneven pacing...so I cannot fathom watching it at 2x speed. It would only exacerbate the problem. Now, if it's a lecture, something that only conveys information, that I would watch at a faster speed. It is good to have the convenience of going back to normal speed when needed. |

A question I have for you is: why are you in such a rush to finish an anime? Is it just to get to the next one? IMO, that sounds like a waste of time so just move on and find something enjoyable. | Might be surprising , but I watched anime at x4 speed so , x2 is nothing . Well that`s because I only get 2 -3 hours time in a day . so , try to make it count! Also those people think that it`s a sin ,my opinion is that if you speed it up and don`t understand then it`s a sin. But other wise I think it`s useful. |

| At least you're not like Jeikobu bragging about his 1000+ days on anime that he got through watching anime at 2-16x speed. I've once watched an anime at 4x speed just to try it out, but I didn't like it. I do multitask anime a lot, but I don't like speeding anime up. It wrecks the audio and it also make it harder to read the subtitles. |
