| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Jesus Christ, there's a large gap in terms of numbers between the two armies. The Imperial Army seems to favor quality over quantity though in terms of their firepower. In regards to the actual battle itself, it's more or less which side has more power. That supernatural entities with the multiple mouths make a big difference but seems some humans aren't afraid to back down. I felt the episode had a good amount of psychology to it rather than just fighting. One more episode to go... |

Why does Overlord use so much CG? Their staffing and overall production doesn't allow for specific people to animate large crowds or creatures so they have to find a substitute. I'm not a fan of it either but I can very well understand how dire the situation in today's productions are that it has to be used that much. |

| Well, that's what you get for making show on a lost money. That's way you never make more than commercial season for LN. It was wierd when they did 2 season, but I don't know why they made 3rd. |

| i still wonder how naruto shippuden can have 500+ episodes.. counting out the darned fillers, they animated shiro zetsu clone army without CGI. Overlord deserves the same coz 80% of its limited screentime are dedicated to irrelevant chatters & fillers |

| If this is what modern animation has come to, I want to go back. I want my 90's/early 2000's artwork and animation styles back. If this is the path anime industry follows, I'm gonna cancel my cruchyroll account and stop buying/legally watching anime altogether. This shit doesn't worth my money. And I feel really sad for productions and studios that things has become this way. I miss that quality over quantity era so badly. Note: I didn't even watched the episode yet, but from the comments on this site and others I can understand that this episode has exactly become what I feared most about this adaptation. |

| I kind of expected that the quality would have not been increased just for the last 2 episodes but this was one of the worst looking episode i've ever seen.... really, this could have been one of the best scene of this season and they came up with a mess that will be memed for years and put at risk the future seasons |

| Man, fanboys are melting down left and right. Cannot say I blame them though. Bad looking animation. Hard to believe that this is the same studio that did Redline. It's been pretty much a standard lately that for some unfathomable reason, studios that consistently do great art and animation are more likely to work on slice of life/drama shows (just look at something like Euphonium). And action heavy stories always get the CGI treatment. Now if you'll excuse me I'll go and watch Kizumonogatari and Vampire Hunter D to wipe the CGI from my memory. |

Great episodes Looking at those people clapping and Empeor army at shock It was just so awesome haha loving this. Those monster look so big and extremely powerful So Its Ainz vs Gazef Well the winner is kinda obvious here. I wonder what you all are bitching about. | People with knowledge of the source material really need to stop overhyping upcoming moments (and that goes for any anime, not just this one). No joke, I've been seeing comment after comment for the last 2 or 3 weeks talking about "SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT," and.....THIS was it? Even if the bad CGI was replaced with the quality, traditional animation that we got from the Madhouse that did Parasyte, Hunter x Hunter, and One Punch Man, this still wouldn't have even been that hype. Nightmare-inducing monsters stomping on and massacring people....um, ok. This is what all the hype was about? This was the moment I was anticipating for 3 weeks now? I don't doubt that it was probably super amazing in the LN, but hyping it up like this simply ruins the anime experience when it ends up not meeting particular expectations and looking like....whatever the hell this episode was. With all that being said though, the CGI really was terrible in this episode, just like last episode. Although I didn't think the splat thing was anything special, I definitely would have found it to be much cooler if it was animated well. Instead, this was laughable tbh. Oh yeah, I think it's funny that someone up above is like "I eXpeCt a WriTteN aPolOgy fRoM MaDhoUSe." HAHAHA yeah, like that'll happen. Man, I thought Attack on Titan diehards were entitled babies when they basically started a riot over the 12 episode second season (wE wAiTeD fOr sO LoNg), but this has to take the cake LOL. |

| Actually that wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I wasn't expecting to see 70,000 men out there, not sure why others were? That was never a realistic possibility. At least the CGI this time wasn't as embarrassing as it was in the last episode. |
