 On Wednesday, Illinois-based North American convention Anime Central revealed that the event to be held from May 18 to 20 will host the world premiere for the reboot anime short of GunSmith Cats anime. Featuring the new anime's staff members such as the producer and animation director Shujirou Hamakawa (Shuzilow.HA) (Solty Rei original creator), music composer Marco d'Ambrosio (Souten no Ken), and the series' mangaka Kenichi Sonoda.Revolving around young women fighting off crime in Chicago, the OVA helmed by Takeshi Mori under studio OLM consisted of three episodes following an original story. The first manga series was serialized in Kodansha's monthly Afternoon magazine from December 1990 to April 1997 for eight compiled manga volumes. It was then followed by a five-volume series titled GunSmith Cats Burst, which was also serialized in the same magazine from 2004 to 2008. ADV Films has licensed the anime for North American VHS release in 1996, followed by a DVD format five years after. In December last year, it has been announced that a Blu-ray format for the OVA is planned to be released by AnimeEigo under a crowdfunding campaign. Additionally, both manga series were licensed in English by Dark Horse Comics from 1996 to 2002 and 2007 to 2010. The manga had another release in omnibus format in 2007. Both of the manga could probably support a one cour anime if done properly, and even if only a short I hope they are able to capture the feeling of the source material. There are definitely some darker themes that I'm a little doubtful they would cover in a modern series, and like @Bourmegar said I hope they don't water it down or keep it too PG. Time will tell though, and I'm glad fans of GSC have something else to be excited about. I really hate it when they do that. Especially know that they are afraid of 18+ |

AIKa is like.. the hottest thing ever xD the first 4 episode of Najica were hot af too, but after that it wasn't quite as sexy, although still great yea, thats why i mentioned Yamauchi Noriyasu since hes the face of those fetishes i'd love an anime based on the Tobimono Museum, that'd be so fucking fap seriously, we can't have these classic badass female anime coming back and not AIKa.. that is heresy.. nothing beats an action anime where the bad guys and henchmen are all hot girls |

Also, I don't care for Gunsmith Cats. I won't be supporting this. |
