Should Zero Escape get an Anime?

I recently got into the Zero Escape series, like two weeks ago. I've been playing non stop Zero Escape ever since I bought the games two weeks ago, and am about to finish Zero Time Dilemma.

If you're not sure what I'm taking about, just read this (Don't worry it's not a spoiler):

As Danganronpa has multiple anime series already, I was wondering if anyone would want to see the Zero Escape series get an anime adaptaion as well.

UPDATE: Just finished Zero Time Dilemma. Man what a fantastic series this was. I hope Aksys Games can get more series like this one.

As a gamer, I totally agree with you. It's a safe formula that is sure to work out just fine.

Dang how have I not even heard of these games? I loved the danganronpa series and this series sounds just as fun. If it does get an anime adaptation though hopefully it'll be better than the danganronpa one.

I've only played the first game, which is very good, but I think it would be a difficult concept to turn into an anime. The first game is good enough as is; it doesn't need an adaptation.

the most interesting about zero escape is how it fully integrates the game mechanics into the story and offering an interesting experience as a game. I really doubt an anime would work out that well.

Well, sure... it should if otakus think it should and there are people interested in making it. It's a fairly popular franchise, so it's entirely possible... but every game adaptation is bound to suck more or less.

I'd fucking watch it. Sounds like my kind of story and setting, the designs look really nice, I'm in. Never gonna play the games but I'm all for an anime.
I probably regret this post by now.

999 was awesome. I played from 10 P.M. to 7 A.M in the morning just to get to the final ending. Considering how the game and story works, I don't know how they would make it into an anime. Maybe they'll have to make it episodic, but I don't know how the audience would react to that...

If they do make an anime, then they better make it traumatizing enough so that the watchers will never...

while I would more than happy to support the game
an adaptation would probably suck, it's a puzzle game essentially
if you take away the puzzles, what else is there?

the mysteries are also heavily base on achieving difference endings, which wouldn't work in anime format
unless they animate each ending in order, I don't see how it would work out

It would work out just like any other looping anime. I see that you've watched Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, so I think that's a pretty good example of the general series format it would have. They would need to avoid showing the same opening scene over and over (either skip it or add differences), but as for the different endings, I don't see the problem. Another example is Umineko no Naku Koro ni.

I agree about the puzzles, but I still think it could work. If they turned it into characters in an escape room, I think it would be fine. I think they should consider changing the puzzles for the anime so that people could play the game and still have to figure it out, though. The game ICO is a good example of this; the novelization of it purposely made changes so as not to ruin the puzzles for those who were inspired by the book to play the game.

I dunno. I feel like I've seen plenty of mystery anime that did things that were somewhat similar, so the whole concept seems plausible as an anime to me.

I would really loved it if they did an adaptation of this! Only the first game would be enough for me, but if they did all of them, man what a sight!
