| Hachiman is pretty annoying with the whole "I am he who arbitrates the true thoughts and inner desires of everybody around me and then default them to the most negative possible outcome" attitude. I find that to be entirely loathsome and ridiculously immature, and the fact that the narrative bends to make it where he's so often proven right with his presumptions of other people's character just gives the whole show this really sour vibe. Then place him up as this self-sacrificing martyr who redirects all bad things onto himself to save the asses of all of these terrible, self-centered individuals surrounding him and it just becomes downright repulsive how arrogant the whole thing comes off. Radiates a pretty strong Jesus-complex aura to it. "Everyone around me is bad and terrible and selfish pretty much invariably, and it is I who secretly does his best and carries all of the burdens to help out these bad and terrible people in spite of how bad and terrible they are." So many people love him because they relate or something, though, which I'd be lying if I were to say that I didn't find that to be a troublesome reflection on their character if that's the case. Kind of believe Hachiman isn't the type of character you want to be like, Hachiman is representative of the type of teenage know-it-all, self-centered arrogance you're supposed to want to move on from, the type of shit you want to be able to look back on and cringe at yourself for being like one day in the future as opposed to an ideal or aspiration. Don't know why people would want to latch themselves onto such a vapid attitude instead of distance themselves from it. |

| I'm probably the only person who actively hates Kumiko from Hibike Euphonium. Right off the bat, the way she acts towards Reina was so infuriating, I knew there was no way I could finish a show with her as the main character. I understand her line about Reina actually wanting to win the competition was supposed to just show her awkwardness, but the way it's worded felt so mean-spirited that it just doesn't work in that context. It wasn't helped by the fact that she proceeds to pussy-foot around Reina forever, like just genuinely apologize and move on with your life. She reminds me of those people who always pretend to be the victim no matter the circumstances. There's a fine line between being socially anxious and being an asshole. Kumiko is the later, and it frustrates me that nobody else sees her like this. |

| don't feel like mentioning a lot of them since they've already been said, but easily Rem in recent memory was not a fan of her from the start and never came around to liking her but realized this is what is considered the ideal waifu and thought i don't need this in my life. but to be honest it was more of the obsession surrounding around her than her herself to the degree of it being cult-like |

| I don't really care much about Iroha from Oregairu. I don't know if its the voice acting, or the way the anime handled the character, but I find her teasing personality to be really fake and unbelievable. Or maybe I'm just spoiled by Ikuno Emiru, who makes every other teasing, manipulative female character I've seen since (or before) pale in comparison. |
| Most shounen series MCs (though there's been some I can totally get behind), Lelouch, just about anyone in SAO, Sasuke of course, Light Yagami, Momonga, Ye Xiu... all I can think of off the top of my head for now. So yea, any of the smug power fantasy "gamer-genius" pricks and the really obnoxious/dumb shounen protags, though the latter I'm mostly just indifferent towards and don't have a seething hate for. |

| Okay so there's only 2 characters that make me completely disgusted: Misaka from AOT and Sakura from Naruto. Then, there are a few characters that, in my opinion, don't deserve the popularity that they have. I mean , I really can't understand why people would like them THAT much: Asuna from SAO ; Lucy from Fairy Tail ; Senjougahara from Monogatari Series ; Rei Miyamoto from HOTD now.. bring the hate, my body is ready *opens arms* |
