DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That Shiori girl always stood out to me as an oddball character in the show. At least we see a little bit more about her past this episode and relationship with her brother. It seems the two were rather close back then. Sigh, I wish they give less TV time for Yuka. By far the most annoying character in this show imo. Not sure how I think of Shiori in this show. She seems kinda mysterious tbh but the one that stand out even more is Methode. |

| Wow Yuka's comment was pretty blunt there. It makes sense that the creators will be desperately searching for the Lacia and her sisters and even more so after the events. Interesting that one of them had returned though. To think that they will send one of Lacia's sisters to hunt the sisters though. After the breakout i really doubt that they intended to come back though. Ryou is still looking for ways to separate Lacia and Arato it seems. Methode appearing in front of Shiori was a surprise as was her words. Her proposal though sure was bold. Interesting episode and i like how Shiori is getting some development as the main plot progresses. Mod Edit: Removed merge conflict |

| Shiori in a tough place on who to marry. She clearly likes Arato. Methode is an interesting hIE considering she has more than one owner. It's quite possible Shiori will accept her proposal. |

| Worst episode of the show so far. Way too much focus on this Shiori person, who as a character was so notable that I do not even remember her existing until this episode, even though she's apparently friends with Arato's annoying and currently-worthless little sister (seriously, what is her actual purpose in this show, especially when she's getting so much screentime?). The fact that I didn't know Shiori even existed meant that I couldn't care less when they briefly went over her backstory and her relationship with Ryou, or about her dilemma about the forced marriage situation; also, having her like Arato when we haven't seen them interact one (unless I somehow missed an interaction between them) is kinda annoying and also kinda pointless. Also, I know they need to convey lots of information at times, but did they even TRY to be clever with the exposition, as it was entirely lacking subtlety throughout the episode: they may as well have just stared at the camera and broke the fourth wall for the exposition, with how lazily it was done. Methode is a bit more interesting, but she wasn't enough to save this from being an utterly terrible episode from start to finish. |
| So, infodump lovers, how is your day? Many -logs, little action except eating and fooding. I like Methode, I hope she has a sister named Cathode. Yep, annoying sister is getting too much screen-time, but Shiori is good, she might have a place to play and fill her role. She likes Arato, but that bastard chose a robot named Lacia and Lacia, together Arato goes date after date, so Shiori gets envious, get furious, gets angry and eventually she will announce that HIEs are evil, must ban them, because they steal my boy! To do fulfill her agenda she needs Methode's help... Just kidding. Background music is good and the next episode title is... |
| I'm not sure how I feel about Shiori lowkey liking Arato. It kinda doesn't really feel right. But then again, isn't Arato the son of some big wig family as well? I'm shocked he's not a suitor for her. Anyways, Methode with that glorious Sora Amamiya voice. Yum. That next episode title tho.... |

| An ok episode i guess and in the preview we saw Lacia and Methode in some ragged outfit, with this show i wouldn't be surprise if somehow they make an excuse and force them to take part in some girl on girl action movie... then the title of the next episode will make sense! ╭☞( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)╭☞ |

| This is like Sakurada Reset last year, started slow, people dropping it and by the end of its run was one of the best anime from last year, it delivered in the 2nd cour. I hope its going to be same for Beatless. |

 I feel as though I need to reassess my life... Oh. But don't get me started on why the hell episode 7 is next, this Shi* is confusing my life. FML! Other than that, this episode was rather enjoyable in contrast to the previous; although there was heavy focus on Shiori (she didn't have this much presence in the previous episodes, it was too sudden). At least there was some development in this anime, ive gotten some an idea of the plot. But if it is what I think it is, then it's not a great storyline -it's too fragmented and looks as if it could collapse within itself- let's just wait and see whether it has an appropriate way of filling these plot holes They've already suggested that it is possible to create HiEs that do not conform to its laws so why was there a need to create the lacia classes in a way that it behaves like the run of the mill HIEs.. leaves asking whether or not there was a need for arato and co to create a story. I know, I'm probably overthinking this, but this anime has given no premise for arato and co's worth; I'm not like others who'll threaten to drop this anime like it's anybody's business as I would prefer to see it through. That was the biggest downfall, because it created the biggest disadvantage of allowing the HiEs to fall into the wrong hand... WTF. This is when they could've actually prevented such an occurrence by having their interface follow a general protocol -at the very least, if the were made to conform to HIE standards then they would've given this responsibility to a trusted individual (The latter of which, they had probably already did... Which is why all this is happening) However, it still feels a little irritating |

| I guess this was an alright episode. It just feels weird because we have this big focus on Shiori after 5 episodes of basically nothing with her. I honestly didn't even realize that she was the one they were talking about marrying off until that conversation in the car on the way to meet the potential brides. Dunno why we still get so much Yuka time. |

| For some reason I didn't get a notification to discuss this episode even though this thread exists... When I added the episode I got the option of creating a forum post instead of the usual redirecting me to the poll by Stark. Something wrong? This episode was slightly better than the previous ones. Interesting to see what Methode will do and what the girl will decide. Yuka was bratty and irritating as usual while Lacia and Endou didn't get the focus which is good actually. I liked this Management Team discussion and what goes on inside it. Nevertheless, still not enough to make me raise it higher than 5. Thankfully it didn't go to a 4 though... |

The relationship between Shiori and her brother was a curious one for sure. I feel like before the change that her brother was held in higher awe than she was. I agree with you on Methode though. Though she has an owner it's like she's not restricted in her actions though as seen when she trying to get Shiori to be her owner as well. But its nice these two characters are getting some focus though. |

| I feel in the minority in that I have a pretty good handle on the timeline, the factions, and their goals? METHODE tho, the new characters all have personality and motives attached to them (though we may not know what they are yet), bodybags like Arato and Kengo are super boring in comparison. She even has 3 outfits already. May seem like a small detail but when you have a character dress the same way for the entire series it gets bland. Even Shiori's attendant is caring and rational. Watarai is giving off hella creepy vibes though. And from the end of the episode, Saturnus might not have her head screwed on straight Honestly aside from the doofy Yuka segments, this was a quite dialogue heavy episode, which I'm perfectly okay with (just my preference in show style). Most of it was useful too, without being overly secretive. Good amount of motive discussion and building on the clear split between the two pro-AI / anti-AI factions. Focusing on the societal philosophizing instead of Yuka whining and eating food will make this show a lot better. |

| Ok seriously, who is the audience for this anime? I feel like the show doesn't know who it is trying to gear towards, and they are making so many odd choices when it comes to themes and characters. I don't know how much more I can watch this tbh. I like the premise behind it along with the lore, but everything leading those things feels so off. |

| Ok so that hIE is Methode, she looks formidable as well. Shiori likes Arato by the looks of it. Methode just made things really interesting by her encounter with Shiori, multiple owners and the info about Watarai. She is rather cunning, I wonder what her goal actually is. |
