| The amount of characters with bangs are definitely more than the ones without bangs. But I like it that way, I think both real people and anime characters look good with bangs. Then again you can always have some bangs and show your forehead (as well as shiny head) at the same time! |

From my very limited understanding of japanese culture, is that hair style is a part of dress code for schools. Like if you came to school with blond hair they will dye it black. Everyone has to fit the cookiecutter mold. Hair that is pulled back for boys usually is a social que for them trying to be yakuza. For girls it’s trying to be sexy. Plus bangs make round heads look more square. |
