Literally every single style I know draws the characters wearing bangs. Even if the character is wearing a ponytail, twin tails, whatever it has the bangs.
Is this like a cultural thing? A tradition?

I don't have a problem with that, just curiosity.

Aren't bangs a big thing in Japan or something? Almost every person I've seen in Japan has bangs. Bangs are probably more attractive to a lot people.
Help the industry and buy Blu-rays and DVD's.

Cuz without bangs they're like vegeta, their forehead is so large a plane could land on it.

As someone who has bangs irl, it's just much easier to cover up the part of the face that does nothing but break out in acne.

Actually, that's a style thing (No shit). Also Vegeta has a super widow's peak (Or receding hairline, I'm not aware of his balding problem).

Have to agree with that... Everyone has their own tastes really whether they want to show their forehead or not.

Well, say hello to Chiri then.

She even combs her hair meticulously to have her bangs perfectly matched without them entirely covering her forehead.

The amount of characters with bangs are definitely more than the ones without bangs. But I like it that way, I think both real people and anime characters look good with bangs.

Then again you can always have some bangs and show your forehead (as well as shiny head) at the same time!

It's not true, not all anime characters have bangs, there's plenty that show off their forehead. Personally, i prefer bangs, i think it makes people more attractive. ^_^

Examples of anime characters without bangs/showing the forehead:

From my very limited understanding of japanese culture, is that hair style is a part of dress code for schools. Like if you came to school with blond hair they will dye it black. Everyone has to fit the cookiecutter mold. Hair that is pulled back for boys usually is a social que for them trying to be yakuza. For girls it’s trying to be sexy. Plus bangs make round heads look more square.

While plenty of characters have bangs, there are also plenty of characters with at least part of their foreheads showing. You know, just like real life...

There are a lot of characters that show their forehead too, you know.
Although, I do see a lot of Japanese girls who have bangs, so that may be partly the reason why a lot of anime characters also have bangs.

The question is EXTREMELY similar to the 'anime characters NEVER have lips', 'anime characters NEVER Have normal size eyes', 'anime characters NEVER have hair of normal color' that keep on getting posted by all these abysmally stupid anime critics who parasite this site.
And it's hilarious how everyone is EVERY TIME wasting their time searching screenshots to counter these obvious trolls.

People, do you ever LEARN??

OP isn't being a critic, he specifically said he doesn't have a problem with it, he's just curious.

I think he makes a valid point anyway. It's true a lot of anime characters have bangs.

Also, forever hoping for a ufotable remake of the Fate route!

Here's a fun fact I found really interesting. If a character has a big, visible forehead compared to rest of the cast, their chances of being best girl more than doubles on average.

i see a lot of east asian girls having bangs instead of no bangs, so maybe it's part of the culture?

but also personally,
having bangs is easier to draw than no bangs

Their greasy naturally-gelled hair for gravity and water defying hairstyles is causing acne on their forehead so they hide the acne with the thing that's causing acne in the first place.
