Well, I grew up with dubbed Anime, so I'll always have a soft spot for it.

I love the original Streamline dub of Akira, as Cam Clarke voicing Kaneda is as good as it gets.

I can't imagine watching Akira, Slayers or Sailor Moon subbed, because that would be weird.

Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Lagoon, BECK, Bamboo Blade, Michiko & Hatchin, Death Note, Fruits Basket (aside from some pronunciations), Baccano!, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Berserk 1997 (shut up, you heard me), Steins;Gate, Gungrave, Persona 4: The (Golden) Animation, Planetes, Wolf Children, Kill la Kill, Psycho-Pass, K-On! (surprisingly), The Big O, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, One Punch Man, Eureka Seven, and just about every Ghibli movie ever made all have extremely good dubs.

I sympathize entirely.

Shoujo is the superior genre primarily aimed at young people.
Harem/isekai are lazy genres that refuse any meaningful innovation.
There is no 'Golden Age.' There will always be top-shelf anime.

Well, if you really were born in 2004, you kinda missed out on a time when the majority of Anime was dubbed.

I mean, you were still in diapers when I graduated from High School. Hell, I'm old enough to be your Father!

I don't really enjoy watching dubbed anime, since these days, the voice actors are fairly unknown, unlike in the past [I miss you Steve Blum].
Then again, if i had to pick a best dubbed anime, it had to be The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. There, we have Crispin Freeman, Johny Yong-Bosch, and among other voice actors who have a decent rep at that time.
It's time to play the Game folks!

Ouran High School Host Club
ACCA 13-ku is a recent one.
Cowboy Bebop

One of the best things about English dubbing is you get to watch anime with no subtitles for once and English dubbing offers more diversity in accents than the original Japanese voices ever could! And also to show these hardcore anime fans that you can still express the same context, meaning and emotion without using honorifics. Also, you can chill doing stuff but still catch up with the scenes.

I don't watch dubs because I prefer to experience the original work. That said, I watched the Medabots dub because I was used to it and it's excellent. I think maybe that the English dub is more fitting to a show that's more Western in how cartoonish and silly it is in humor.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is amazing dubbed. Not only does is sound like the voice actors are having the time of their life, but it seems like this anime was just meant to be in English. I have tried watching it subbed, but it doesn't have the same speed, and punch as the dubbed has.

Just my opinion, though!

Oh and yeah, Junketsu no Maria for the immersion factor in the effort to at least resemble what people at that time period might say. Or what we think they'd say. Huh, what is it with dub and European setting. Might be the allure of authenticity.

Mein Gott, at this rate I'll keep editing this one. Stahp, me. I should make a list in notepad to ctrl c ctrl v.
